No respect for our defense. At all. No mention of the fact that defense is hobbled with injuries and Divinity still out.

I could see LSU playing a Georgia/OU Rose Bowl type game agaisnt Ohio State in the National Championship. So maybe he’s right.

Champions don't give excuses.

I am happy with the LSU season and have not been critical of the D. But, I am not going the "but...but...but.." route either. The team is the team. Injuries, etc are just adversity to be overcome. LSU has and I am confident will continue.

Why would this be mentioned? Teams are judged based on performance on the field. End of discussion.

Except Oklahoma lost to an unranked Iowa State team that year.

I think he's right but willfully ignores plenty of facts

That said- he's wrong a lot

Funny, I don’t remember OU beating Alabama in Tuscaloosa and beating Auburn and Florida. I guess I have a short memory.

I do not like Joel Klatt at all, and it has nothing to do with this statement. He’s just not very good at his job. In my opinion, he does a horrible job of deeply analyzing teams.

Joe is not like Baker at all. He's more accurate and throws the ball on time. College Baker did not get ball out on time. Wanted to buy time and make the big play, unless it was a screen. Which works in college... not so much in NFL. That's why his arse is struggling. Joe is great bc the ball, more times than not, comes out on time and goes where its supposed to go ACCURATELY. That's why he'll be a great pro.

Oklahoma did not do what the Tigers are doing. The strength of schedule factor makes a difference. The defense has flashed and lapses, but the TEAM has always found a way to win.

Our defense is still better than theirs.

They gave up 42 to Baylor that year, 52 to OKState, 38 to Iowa State.

We basically had 3 bad games.

People act like we give 50 every game.

I think it's a good comparison up until this appoint in the season.

It’s a lazy comparison considering their defense was giving up 4 more points a game at this point in the season.

If I were looking for Payola among sportscasters, I would start with Joel Klatt.

Biggest shill on any sports network, IMO.

LSU's defense is light years ahead of any of those awful OU defenses but we really kind are a Big 12 team of the SEC... I think thats more of how good our offense is compared to the defense though.

I’ve been critical of the defense this year but I also think the media reaction to the Ole Miss game is overblown.

The defense is below LSU standards for sure, but it isn’t downright terrible. All it has to be is good enough and the offense will score enough to win.

The biggest issue with the defense besides depth and injury is the inability to play a full game of good defense.

Early in the season the D played like crap in the first half and adjusted and played lights out in the second half. Recently that trend has reversed.

If the defense gets healthy and gets it together and can play 4 quarters of just average defense, no one in the country will stay within 2 TDs of us.
