Dude I remember reading Dandy on dial up in high school in the late 90s, took forever for the page to load. Then I got to LSU and they had this magical shite called the “Ethernet” in Herget Hall… after class every morning (2000) I couldn’t wait to read Dandydon because that was pretty much the only LSU site I knew. I got Tiger Rag delivered still at that time, but Dandy was the cat’s pajamas to me. Don Long would respond promptly to messages too. RIP.

Don was a legend. Scott has done a good job but you have to remember those purple glasses are very dark.
He will never rip LSU or say anything negative and I believe has a 7 year streak of picking LSU to win every game

Same. The Reveille sports editor didn’t hire me to be a columnist circa 2004 because I talked shite in an interview about how they always picked against LSU haha.

I am an avid DD reader. I enjoy getting my daily condensed dose of LSU sporting new to start my day. I remember thinking it would be over when Don passed away. Man was I wrong. It still is a great go to site for Tiger fans.

Dandy Don Long is buried about 30 feet away from my folks. Everytime I drop by the cemetery, I always walk over and pay my respects to him as well.
