The big man took a hammering on here, by rantards, who expected him to be some stud as a freshman. He has developed nicely, and is becoming a grown arse man.
Congrats big fella!

He's come along well. My only quibble with his play this year is he sometimes goes low on more athletic defensive ends. And they're able to hop over him and get pressure on Burrow. But we all know how great Joe's thrown the ball under pressure.

I don't even remember that.

Cushenberry was trashed unmercifully by the geniuses.

Anybody who gives a freshman OL hell for not being a stud right off the bat doesn’t deserve to voice their opinion.

I'm one of us that's been in his corner the whole time. He just exuded that vibe from day one, that he was going to be great.

I remember the "Move-in Day" thread with pics of AD carrying his stuff to his new room. He looked like a really big, little kid

Ain't no little kid any more. Grown arse man with strength and a mean streak.

I agree here! He was getting trashed a lot on here.

The reality is that it’s rare for a Fr lineman to jump into SEC play ready to go. There is a lot of growth both mentally and physically needed (more than any other position other than QB) and it usually takes a year or two to round into form. Both Cushenberey and Deculus are prime examples of this.

Last year he had games that were the worst I've ever seen any lineman play, worst ever.

Hes come a long way.

Saw him in a grocery store a couple of days before they left for Atlanta.

I’m 6’1 and he could’ve absolutely manhandled me and would’ve never broke a sweat. He is a monster of a man.
