You saw his comments about “he would’ve left at halftime”? He’s also said things like “we’ve been figured out” and “I have no answers for you” early on in the conf schedule. I said it then and it still rings true, this is how a man speaks when he’s coming to terms with the reality of his own limitations. I feel bad for the guy but he’s in way over his head.

Not upset with basketball. Woody put him in a very difficult situation.
If Wade were still here, and we had this record, I would be very upset.

While I agree with almost all of your post, he likely has been trying different approaches all season to see what could possibly work.

The guard situation is so absolutely awful, that his options are almost non existent. Guards cant shoot, penetrate or facilitate.

Let me do it this way for the football only crowd:

Some QB's can run, but struggle throwing. Some have live accurate arms but are statues in the pocket. Very rarely do you see a QB who cant run or throw. Well, those are our guards. Hell, even Andrew Hatch could run.

College basketball is dominated by good guard play.......and LSU has poorest backcourt in the league

In the KenPom metrics, which are generally considered one of the best predictive metrics available, LSU finished ranked 21st. That was higher than in the 2020 and 2021 seasons, and only two spots lower than in 2019.

By throwing that out there you’re saying that last year’s team was just as good as the 2019 team (only 2 spots lower on Kenpom). If that’s you’re argument to show how Will Wade’s teams were getting better you might as well just stop now.

Of all the new SEC coaches, who has done the worse this season?

I guess maybe Lamont Paris? Idk they might end up 3/4 wins better than us.

Only the "true" LSU Basketball fans can answer this or any other basketball question. There are 4 of them I think.

Cal is only 3 spots out of where he was predicted to be and will easily get to the big dance. McMahon is 6 spots behind where he was predicted and wouldn’t he invited to the Sunkist shootout.

You really love that prediction. Last year LSU was picked 8th as well. How inaccurate was that?

I think the rankers (other coaches?) really overestimated how well the team would gel, and likely bought into a ton of hype around Miller. Last year they never saw Eason coming.

If you’re not angry about LSU basketball than you just don’t care.

We have not won a game in 2023.

We are awful.

We have a recruiting class ranked in the 50s.

We’re not getting better anytime soon.

The coaches suck. The team is shite.

Bill Self and Bruce Pearl continue to cruise along.

No you just avoid any standardized comparisons when it comes to basketball because you’re all about creating a fictional narrative. It’s as simple as that, anytime data or universal comparisons are introduced you melt.

I’m disappointed the team hasn’t performed better but I’m not upset. I’m an adult who has life outside of LSU sports. I watch them win or lose but my life is not impacted by either outcome.

You have to have the "horses" to win. Can't win the Indianapolis 500 with Volkwagens!

I expected us to have a subpar year and NOT have a winning SEC record. But I never thought, once I saw the final roster, we would be so abjectly bad at every aspect of SEC Basketball. And, contrary to predictions, the SEC is a subpar MBB conference this season as compared to the last 4-5 seasons.

Please. All you do is break down like a little girl over this stuff. You are right below drizz in that category. We started out last April behind every team in D-1. But I bet you will argue against that too.

This will take a few years to build momentum. If it happens sooner, good. I am just enjoying watching a team get built from the ground (really below ground) up and I don't let the growing pains get me down.

More fiction, 23 teams returned less than we did and 2 of them are ranked. Try again.
