Been seeing a lot on here the past couple of weeks about how BS the 69’ championship was. I say we, as the rant, declare ourselves the 1969 college football champions. FÜÇK you Notre Lame and Texass

No but don’t give Alabama or Ole Miss any ideas.

1908 is legit, even if we did anticipate NIL by over a century.

Did any poll have LSU #1 at the end of the season?

If yes, claim it.

If no, move on.

Tell me which channel you watched LSU’s ‘69 season on.

Sorry, some of us weren’t born, and don’t care about a season 50+ years ago.
Claim it if it’ll make your life better, I guess.

I wouldn’t call anyone a retard either.

Texas-ND game was the Cotton Bowl and not any championship. Voters determine champion and LSU ranked #10.

Texas was announced the national champion by the AP, Coaches, FWAA and NFF. Where is our claim?

I fricking hate the guys that want to claim national titles decades later knowing that they have no real claim.

If that were the case this wouldn't even be talked about.

We were not even a top 5 team as we ended up at #8.

IMO, our main problem that year was our extremely weak schedule. And we lost to the only good team we played.

The 1969 team is still my favorite LSU football, but they did not earn the title on the field (they would have beaten Texas) and cannot be considered champions.
