You don’t make a mockery of the game just to satisfy some never was never will be people’s vicarious fantasies

It was kind of a flex to be able to say we have the goat pitcher but we don't even need him to kick your arse.
This kind of flex is as good as any casino that offers Muchbetter payment https://sloteire.com/muchbetter-casinos
The only difference is that you can't win in a casino, but you can quite possibly win on a football pitch. Isn't it? Well, you try it, then you can tell me.

It's more of a boast.
But the winners have the right to do so

No. The freshman will be here a while and we will need him going forward. Skenes did his job.

No he shouldn’t have. What I would have like to have seen was Hurd come out for one batter and get pulled so he could get recognition, but I know that he had reasons for way he did it.

As much as I would have enjoyed it for the drama and the fans, JJ made the right decision and I'm glad Guidry got to get the last out. It was just as it was supposed to be.

Winning the series without Skenes throwing a single pitch is much more satisfying. It just reinforces that this TEAM is the best in the country.

Skenes is selfless. I'm sure he was happy to see someone else on the mound since everyone already knows he is the GOAT college pitcher.

If he got hurt in a meaningless inning, it would be used against JJ in recruiting forever.

No. Why would he? Also, makes it even more hilarious Florida got dragged by LSU without using arguably their best player on the team.

ESPN desperately wanted him in the game at some point

Maybe they should have a few days off before the Championship series to have Starters available.

No. They would have if they had needed him. I have no doubt we would have seen him if the game was within four or five runs in the eighth or ninth. Jay mentioned something earlier in the year in a press conference about protecting the talent that he gets. He said something along the lines of “protecting the talent you have is how you keep the talent coming in”.

I completely agree with that. If he brings Paul in Monday night up 14 runs just to do it, people would take notice. This way he showed that he has the talent’s best interest in mind and won’t give into the pressure that everyone was putting on him to bring Skenes in for that commemorative out.

Imagine Skenes blowing his elbow out just for a ceremonial pitch and exit.

Epic disaster for Skenes pro career and our program. It would be stupid.

It would have been a great curtain call but he was not needed.
