I never saw the ball touch the ground and I’m pretty sure Stingley had full possession after the ball bounced between bodies, really seemed like refs just didn’t want to give it to him after review.

Ok so found video on YouTube and im definitely wrong. Sorry. LINK

It was an interception. The review team copped out by claiming incomplete pass.

Ball was on the ground.

That said, watching Stingley make the adjustments on the ball to deny the catch in slow motion is incredible. The game is very slow for that young man.

An interception BUT you lose the ball for a split second in the replay so I understood why they couldn’t make the call.

ETA I missed the angle that showed it hit the ground.

If it was called and interception on the field I dont think it would have been overturned.

Couldn't see the ball at one point to see if it hit the ground or not but it definitely was never a catch by Texas.

It had to be incomplete or interception.

It was more of an int than a catch but his leg hit the sideline before he controlled it. fricking hell of a play tho

Regardless, it was a phenomenal play by a kid playing in his second ever college game. Stingley is the real deal

On TV, the ball clearly touched the ground, they showed it several times. Stingley had possession of it, but one half of the football was on the ground. Otherwise would have been one of the most bad arse INTs in recent memory.

It 100% touched the ground. Indisputable.
