I would be curious as to what Shaq thought about whether or Jones should be retained.

So what about checkbook. Shaq has every damn penny he has ever made plus some. How many of us can say that?

This...

Honestly, I have a checkbook, but who the hell takes the time to balance them anymore? Between debit cards and mobile/online banking there is literally no point in manually balancing them anymore

Y'all think Patrick will find a way to keep Simmons around another year? He goes as Johnny goes

I can think of several million reasons to disagree with Shaq.

Shaq told this story about money on himself in one of his books. He owned a bunch of car washes, pretty much quarters only. His CPA called him up & told him "Shaq, we got a problem. The amount coming in does not come near to what it should be." Shaq called him over to his house, took the CPA into a back room, where a large barrel full of over flowing quarters sat. Told the CPA: I like to know where my money is". Said the CPA was torn between crying & screaming.

or Simmons can hire someone to balance his checkbook and then teach him how to do it

Oh boy, I think I know the moral of this story

Yo dude, where's my money? And how do you own an estate in Aruba?

As much as I want this guy to come back, and in recognition that in the grand scheme of things it very probably would not negatively impact his life long earnings in any discernible way if he did come back, there's really no reason for it unless Ben personally wants it for his own personal growth or preference. But I can't sit here and tell a kid to turn down very large figures of money guaranteed by contract and a year sooner start on his career with superior instruction than he receives now, to come back and play at a program like LSU.

I say that to say this...he gone.

Is he a heck of a shooter like Durant was(or even Westbrook)? Shooting the ball well with size can get it done in the NBA.Or have the overpowering size, game, and tough attitude like Shaq? .Yeah he's a Magic Johnson type but Magic had a rock offensive Center, and a team that had the best at every position. After all of the hype Benny-Sim received before even setting foot on a college court he would be running the risk of being called a bust-a RICH one, but a BUST. Especially if his team loses or not meet fans expectations. And when the media starts chirping, it could unravel him permanently. If he's not starving he would benefit with a another year of college , learning to shoot, playing man to man defense with his feet, blocking shots cleanly and getting hisself a quick one bounce jump hook-before the double teams come. And free throw shooting- he doesn't want a Hack-a-Ben in the NBA.
