And before you Gumps start with the jealously bullshite let me cede to you that he’s the greatest college coach of all time. That being said I’ve never seen a more miserable, pissed off, unhappy human being my life! What is his fricking problem?

Probably the way last years ended and this year is progressing. Bama’s success has been to build on itself and there have been some definitive hurdles lately

He just sends messages to his team. He controls the narrative.

When you’re the GOAT you’re never satisfied.
And honestly, I have no problem with what he said.

The last Saturday in the south showed a lot about his upbringing. His dad demanded the same perfection and hard work from him that he demands from his programs. The parallel was uncanny. I suggest you give that episode a watch. The older I get the more I really hear those deep life lessons my dad instilled in my at a young age start to come out as I mature. He also lost his father right when his coaching career started so that has probably strengthened his resolve on these things as well. Ultimately I don’t even think he “cares” as much about winning as just getting everyone to do their job perfectly because we’ll that’s how he was raised. You do something, you do it perfectly and as hard and successfully as you can. Then all the winning just comes from that. That’s probably where it all comes from.

He’s always hated the media.
I didn’t know that about his dad though.
Still, he could answer in a better way. But whatever, I’ve been done with him. He’s arguably the best collegiate coach right now but he looks worn out. He really does.

it is because he has ZERO life outside football. he sleeps, eats, breathes, pisses football 24/7. he is as driven as anyone i have ever seen. he does not get a chance to enjoy his money like most multi-millionaires. coaching is his life. not many like him. he does it right way though. always grades by performances. Do your job right and results will come. attention to detail. something les miles could not dream of.

He probably did not like how practice went with his backup QB or QB’s.

The winds are shifting and he knows it. He's had years where he has had the upper hand and advantages over other schools. The sleeping giant is finally awake.

Agreed. And considering his age I don't believe he will last much longer. He will sooner or later say "frick it" and move on.

Have you been paying attention the the modern American Democratic Party? Saban's Martha Stewart compared to that puddle of misery.

He's intolerant of the fake news media. The reporter intentionally asked a stupid question that he knew would piss off Saban. He's a miserable, unhappy prick yes. But I don't have an issue with his treatment of the media.

I usually brush this off due to Saban just hates the media. But he seems way more pissed off and on edge than I’ve ever seen him. It does seem like something is going on that has amplified his bitterness.
I just hope it’s because he feels his team is gonna be exposed soon and he feels it’s nothing he can do about it.
But with it being Saban, it could all be part of the plan to focus his team.
