I don't know brother. I agree with you 100%. I've never seen such a regression in a quarterback in all my life and that includes Jordan Jefferson, Anthony Jennings, Brandon Harris of all the likes. Anthony Jennings and Brandon Harris really were never that good. Jordan Jefferson fell under the last miles. No pick six after Jared Lee and would just hold the ball too long, but I've never seen such a regression and I hope and pray. I'm assuming he will start against Arkansas but he does not need to get booed. I mean when you've been hit as much as he has been hit with this atrocious offensive line. I mean the dude is giving it his best shot and hopefully coach Frank Wilson will have a quick hook on him. One or two bad series. Just go ahead and put in Van Buren because I believe it's all mental now. I do believe at the beginning of the season it might have been physical. Why in the world Brian Kelly played him against Southeastern and Louisiana tech. I will never know. He should have been sitting if he was really hurt. Now it's all mental. The offensive line is atrocious butt like Rohan Davey said yesterday. He does not help himself out. He will not step up into the pocket. At least all I've ever seen on that terrible sack where he just ran backwards and ran right into the tackle. Even though Cune was beaten by is man, he'd given him enough time, all nuss had to do was step up and he had two wide open receivers to his left. Never seen a regression like this. I'm only thinking from what I've heard and again, like everybody else. If he did not put in the time and effort over the summer the way Jaden Daniels and Joe burrow did that could obviously be a problem and we had the summer of 10,000 catches and you can see our receivers did not put in much time at all either because of the dropped passes. But I'm with you brother. He's a tiger. I'm going to support him but Frank Wilson needs to have a quick hook if things start off bad this Saturday

Whatever the reason for his regression it’s all on him. He did nothing to improve all year. Sad thing is he got paid millions while fans lost money watching his poor performance each and every game. This whole very bad season starts with Nuss.

Sorry for the Great Wall of text. Sorry to all the ranters. I'm outside putting up Christmas decorations and just speaking into my phone I apologize

He is playing scared because of the deficit line play. Getting hit so often will play on your mind.

He never was that good.
Most of his stats were in games LSU lost early.
Biggest problem not an athletic bone in his body.

The injury rumors and bad O-line don't excuse his decision making. What had people screaming for him to be benched is when he throws into double or even triple coverage to kill a scoring drive (see Ole Miss), when he refuses to run for an easy first down and instead throws a deep ball to your worst receiver who is double covered (see LaTech), when he calls timeout on 3rd and long that we're unlikely to convert on the first drive of the game for like 4 or 5 games in a row, when he thinks he's Russell Wilson and tries to do the reverse pirouette to get away from a pass rush even though he has bricks for feet and could have just stepped up in the pocket instead... the list goes on.
Even if injury explains why his deep ball suffered, then why keep throwing bad deep balls when you know you can't get it there? The LaTech interception keeps coming back to me. Barion Brown had 10 yards on the nearest DB for a walk-in TD and somehow you underthrow it by 20 yards to get intercepted. Either the worst throw ever, or a throw he never should have attempted if he was hurt that bad.
What drove people crazy is that the traits that were supposed to be his strengths, were suddenly weaknesses. We get that he doesn't have the Jayden Daniels type of mobility. But you're a pocket passer that has awful pocket presence/awareness and suddenly can't pass or hit deep balls. You're a coach's son who has been in the program for 5 years and still makes awful decisions that have me questioning your football IQ.

Nuss has three weeks, if that long, left in Baton Rouge then he is gone and simply becomes an afterthought. He'll opt out of any bowl game and go "prepare for the draft" with some QB consultant.

what happened to Nuss?
This will be a mystery right up there with 1/9/12.

He’s just not that good of a QB. Simple.

Did you see Jordan Jefferson’s first start in the bowl game, and the rest of his career?

His brain gets overloaded. Can’t call the play quickly. Can’t make a decision. Can’t trust himself. Can’t be aggressive. Probably trying to think too much. There is no time for that on gameday.

I think it's all mental. He got fat and happy in the offseason with NIL money and getting engaged and now is mentally ruined and doesn't have a clue how to fix it
It's so bad
It's so bad

He doesn't have a NFL offensive line pass blocking for him this year. Clearly he was playing hurt much of the year too. I think it's in his head now.

I hope it is injury related that he can recover from because otherwise he looks like a complete basket case.

Turnstile OL.
No development of receivers.
Sloan (playcalling, QB coach).
He'll be a mid-round pick. If he gets a good NFL QB coach, he will be a starter eventually.
