Were Smokes last teams this bad?

1981 we were under .500. We’re on our way to that

Had to be before Skip. I'm serious Smoke teams were not anywhere close to this.

Are you just following Baseball or just young?

We're next to last in the league, so my guess is the 1900's.

Smoke wasnt that bad he was just following Skip,

Before Skip.
Skip got hired 6 weeks before I graduated. When I was in school, it never crossed anyone’s mind to go to a baseball game.

What does that even mean? I’ve been following since early in the Skip era.

It's just baseball, guys.

Not even close. The season that got Smoke fired, the team finished 13-17 in the league.
This team won't come close to that in their wildest dreams.

He asked a question. Since you are the ultimate LSU fan, why don't you answer it? You seem to know it all on this board!

Untrue. As a LSU fan, I used to go to the Jim Smith coached games in the 70’s. True that the front runners didn’t show up though.

This is the thread where people brag about how old they are.

Did the K Woman give up yet? I didn’t see her in the crowd tonight

Is this where we pretend the SEC, as a whole, hasn’t dumped a shitload of money into all of the programs and gotten much better?
Don’t be dumb.

It would have been before Skip. Those LSU baseball teams played before rows and columns of empty splintery bleachers in the Old Box between 1977 and 1981. They were totally unwatchable, and far worse than this year's team.
This year's team is the worst in the modern era beginning with Skip's first season in 1984. I believe this year is an aberration and they'll again be our usual beloved Tiger baseball team soon.

As good as he and Arrambide have been at the plate they are the polar opposite defensively. Both bad defensive catchers.
