What - specifically - did the offense do/fail to do?

What specifically - should/could they have done better?

If you were the OC, what - specific - actions would you take to beat Alabama?

Thanks in advance for your brilliant and cogent responses.

How about YOU start and give some ideas before trolling the rest of the board?

Move the ball. Score any points. You know, things offenses are supposed to do.

score a single point

ideally, score a point

in a perfect world, score more points than them

but scoring any at all would be a good start

also, maybe you can direct your line of questioning to Arkansas, who scored 30 in the 4th quarter on Bama.

Do, they did nothing but punt every series

Fail to do : run the ball, pass the ball, protect the qb, score any points, eat up any clock. Get first downs to give our def time to rest

He's damn near close to being dead last on offense, bro. Nuff said.

If you go back to last year. Canada had jet sweeps, quick slants to Chark all things to slow down an aggressive line.

E did nothing.

2 games Steve ensminger has called against Alabama

45 total rushing yards (one of those games he had fournette and guice)
276 total passing yards

0 points.

Yeah totally not scheme.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to realize something went wrong with the space shuttle Challenger.

It's not the responsibility of the fans to fix it, but if LSU wants to give me $800k a year, I'll try some stuff and see if anything works, too.

It failed to slow down the Alabama rush. We did not run any plays or give any looks that caused the defensive lineman to pause. Our OL was outmanned, it was obvious, but the scheme gave them no help. As a result, Burrow was under pressure all night.

See above. Jet sweeps, bubble screens, half back passes, more quick passes to the TE in the flat, etc. Also, see Canada's game plan from last year.

See above. Not sure how this question is different from the last one.

You're welcome.

ETA: If you don't think a better scheme, with the talent we have, could not have put points on the board I am not sure what to tell you.

Not calling a slow developing play action pass from your own 7 yard line would be a start.

The o-line was getting man handled all day. Couldn't run it up the middle and couldn't go deep. Needed to set up some quick slants and screen passes so Burrow could dump it off quickly before pressure got home.

If you can't run effectively, let your passing game be your run game with dump offs and screens.

Our offense was vanilla and playing traditional football plays straight into Alabama and Saban’s strengths.

Putting a shutout purely on talent discrepancy is the fan equivalent of kicking a field goal down 22 points.

in all seriousness, it was idiotic to run even a single playaction from under center when we couldn't even establish a mild running game, and our OL was getting blown up from start to finish.

At some point you have to run a play that is designed to get Burrow out of the pocket to make a pass or run for a few yards.

This is a game where everyone knew going into it the biggest mismatch was their front 7 and our OL. We have shifted guys around on the OL all fricking year long.

Hell, just go shotgun every goddamn play if you have to. This was the game to do it, and just dink and dunk. We were never going to establish the run with this OL.

None of us are paid to be OC at LSU. Ensminger is being paid a lot and he's failing. Period.

LSU is the only team this year who has not scored any points on Alabama. How's that for you?
