Best and loudest game ever played in Tiger Stadium...and it's not close.

Rehage could be brilliant at times, and not so much at others. His holding penalty late in the 1985 game vs Bama cost us a victory that afternoon.

Tigers could have won that game against a really good USC squad.
"really good"? They were ranked no. 1, finished 11-0-1 and no. 2 in the polls.
And they had 2 Heisman Trophy winners in their backfield.

Best...not hardly. The outcome kept it from being the best.
Loudest: 2003 vs Georgia, 1997 vs Florida, 1988 and 1995 vs Auburn were louder, IMHO.

4 Pro Football Hall of Famers were on that USC squad. To put that into perspective LSU has 3 ever.

Rembember both games. Fell asleep during the 1979 game at my parent's home.
1984. Had a Cross-Country meet in Alabama. Made the trip home and ended up walking 5 miles to the High School to pick up my car. Tired that day.

The 1979 game was amazing. Best live sporting event I've ever experienced. Someone said it couldn't be the best ever in Tiger Stadium because of the outcome. IMO it was the best, despite the outcome, that's how great it was. LSU won the game, just not the score.
Benjy did grab a facemask, but the play obviously should have been blown dead beforehand because the USC O-line jumped.

First Tigervision game ever. My roommate and I, and about 6-7 others split the cost and watched the game. It was the Dalton Hilliard show!

Watched it at Chi Chi's Mexican restaurant bar at Airline and Florida with my now wife! That was a thorough thrashing!
Was wondering about Tigervision. They did broadcast the '84 USC game, but it wasn't the first Tigervision broadcast. That goes back to USCe 1982.
