I absolutely love his mindset about NIL, recruiting, and starters.

1. Don’t break the bank on unproven 18 year olds
2. Pay for kids with skins on the wall or at least actual experience
3. Play who shows out at practice, regardless of pay or high school stars.

This dude was made for this era of football.

Underwood would be a beast if Lane was his coach. Bet that

Especially QB - breaking the bank for a QB out of HS is legit malpractice.

Underwood and his camp are idiots. Michigan is one of the worst QB developing spots in the country.

Hope they are investing that NIL money wisely because his pro career outlook not looking pretty

Agreed, but why are Berry and Durham getting Nike deals, and not Jones?

Agreed. S9 much for all the people who would say it didn't matter which school an elite athlete went to.

They developed Brady so well he was a 6th round pick.

You’re making his point. Take out Brady and that’s not a great list. The only one from this century has been ridiculed as being a game manager surrounded by talent, and went from mid 1st round pick to 3rd on the depth chart in two years.

Michigan has not had great QB play the last 25 years

The number of schools who have had half a dozen QBs start NFL games in multiple seasons over the same time period isn't very big.

Of this I have no doubt. Portnoy and Jolin hurt his career.

Didn’t he play for Michigan almost 40 years ago? He and Jim Harbaugh are almost 60 years old

He wasn’t even a full time starter.
