We threw the ball 5 plays in a row to #1 I’m the second half.
They broke away from gardening talk to finally tell the audience who#1 was, Boutte.

I never really say to much bad about announcers but these were the worst. They was talking the player family sets of twins. Then he says what do you think about “ seven sets ?” ... other announcer “ seven what?” They were so boring and off topic that they weren’t even listening to each other

Tom Hart is terrible. What’s worse is he is getting more high-profile assignments from ESPN. Either they’re doing his agent a favor because the agent has higher-profile clients ESPN wants or needs to keep happy or Hart has pics of network execs in compromising positions.

The whole production value was poor, not just the announcers. It was like you'd expect at a SWAC game between Alcorn and Grambling from back in the 80's.

That is why Vin Scully was so great. One man show and always talking.
thats because nothing happens in baseball. Those guys have to fill 3 hours with chatter.

Were they operating the down and distance on the network also... because that "guy" needs to fired.

If I had to guess, they were having a systems issue. All of that stuff is worked out the day before (they usually have a 'set-day' for SECN shows).

If it's an issue during the broadcast, then it's probably not operator error.

It’s a good thing they did too, from the way he looked I thought Jamar Chase had come back.

It wasn’t just the announcer, it was the entire production. Wrong graphics. Couldn’t keep the down and distance lines straight. Kept loosing the play clock. Clearly the JV crew.

Made the mistake of watching the 2nd half of the game with the sound up. What a mistake. Those guys were pretty much unwatchable/unlistenable.

they are better than what we have on the radio by a mile. A limp noodle has more enthusiasm than Blair.

I was glad to be able to see the game on TV .
I was also glad that the common taters did not suck up to bama throughout the game.
I did miss the LSU Band playing.
Wish the announcers talked more about the actual game.

Id rather those guys than Danielson or even the fox guy that announces a 2 yard run like it's the greatest play ever with his tone. I like my announcers in the background for the most part and not making it about their voice or their immense wealth of knowledge. Don't even need the constant play by play to be honest. I've got eyes and know the players for the most part. To each their own though.
Wish we could have Blackledge every week.

We got the play clock added to the screen with about 5:00 left in the game

This ticked me off more than anything! How am I able to yell at Brennan to hurry up if I don't know the play clock is ticking down to zero?!

I knew it was going to be bad when the very first words out of their mouth was...”one of the best teams in the country last year”.

THE. BEST. TEAM.

The highlight was when they had the weekly food feature about some chicken joint, and one of them proceeded to talk about how it sucked, you should go to this other place.

Last week someone on here started a thread saying the game announcers for our Vandy game were not going to be in attendance at the game due to COVID. They were scheduled to call the game by watching monitors at the SEC Network production facility.

Several times during the game it seemed to me the announcers missed the action as it happened or maybe they were watching multiple monitors and were looking at a different one from what I was watching.
