Gene Chizic (sp??) Has to say LSU is ranked to high at 6. They still dont believe

Higher v lower is always confusing.
Ex. “My team should be ranked higher than number six!” Higher than 6 is 7 and up.

When it’s a list, the lowest number is at the top. They biggest number is at the bottom.
Move my team higher up the list.
“I wish my team was ranked higher.”
You’re welcome.

They should interview more local beat writers on their show. As a national media hub, ESPN doesn’t really tap local beat writers who know all of the inside info coming out of camp.
Never understood why they don’t bring in those guys who cover the team locally because they know the team, the position battles and the guys making a splash in camps.

Why does anyone give the first flying flip about the AP ranking? Does anyone get excited about competing for an AP championship in the CFP era?

Why are you even worried/restating this moron's opinion? Give him no bigger platform than he already has.

I would love them to explain how OU should be ranked above LSU.

Using local beat writers would make sense, but of the 2 LSU writers usually on Finebaum, one is a Finebaum wannabe and is mocked openly by locals, & the other can't talk on live tv.,i.e. has a mouth full of marbles.

If they interviewed Shea Dixon they would get the best info on the team without the wanna be personality. Shea’s info is solid.

quote:completely agree. The polls are a relic from the past and are irrelevant - especially the preseason polls.

Ignore them all and just play the games - then we'll know.

The days of actual journalists is dead. The late 90s and early 2000s had real broadcasters/ journalist calling Games. Now it’s former players and coaches who first careers were cut short.
Their vocabulary is so very weak. They can’t describe the atmosphere, players abilities, etc. like Keith Jackson, Ron Franklin and so many others.
David Pollack “These dudes just have the swagger and they are cool!”
Ron Franklin “The pressure of this game in Baton Rouge right now is bubbling like a hot September Gumbo Pot on the Bayou.”
*These are examples and not actual quotes, except for Pollack who uses those phrases every other sentence*
