TRO" Then they'd probably file a suit in LA state court to get their own injunction against the SEC.
So you’re saying the SEC doesn’t have the ability to throw a member out without a federal judge allowing them to do so?

That isn't what I said.
They're preemptively setting up their authority to where no state court ruling could stop them.

This should get laughed right out of the courtroom. What a crock of shite.
except this is in Birmingham currently, with a Judge that is an Alabama alum. Now, I thought our AG said they can't do that, etc....but you can bet that the SEC has already got the blessing from that Judge, if it were to remain.
This has to be a scam, to get congress to act, and LSU is just playing along. If not, the SEC might not exist anymore in a few years from lawsuits.

Sankey has gone full retard. This will not end well for him. They aren't kicking LSU out of the league. I mean this is a circus.

How’s it silly? LSU is one of the biggest college brands there is. Do you not see the trajectory that College athletics is heading?
Posted on 9/8/26 at 11:26 am to Cshaw91
Are they asking for that authority if LSU rosters and plays them? Or is it that their wittle fee fees got hurt and now they want to expel LSU out of spite?

Not sure why LSU would want to stop them. Why would I continue to work for an employer who sues me?
I think LSU will file some type of damages suit against the SEC and move on

Notre Dame is a bigger national brand and they don't make as much as we do via the SEC.

Bigger conferences making more money. The exact opposite of your strategy.

Why was a TRO necessary, then?
You tell me counselor
You said the SEC was just enforcing their rules. Their rules didn't exist previous to LSU's actions.
The Southeastern Conference (SEC) passed its rule regarding professional contract eligibility on August 25, 2026
Have you been paying attention or are you just coming in now because you don't seem to know what is going on.

You need to go back in the conversation and catch up.
In the scenario being discussed, those rules and that authority is already validated.
The discussion was which party would be liable to fans for their damages, in that scenario.

Weren't multiple SEC schools trying to recruit the same players?
They damn sure better hope they weren’t because that’s where the discovery phase is going to be extremely interesting. The same school leaders that are supporting Sankey during the posturing stage will be coming for his neck when their individual recruiting records are subpoenaed.

AG sure has been quiet since we got sued
Courts have been closed due to the holiday. I remember in one of her interviews, she challenged whether it’s the proper venue and whether the SEC qualifies as an organization in terms of first amendment rights.
Sankey is using his position for a personal vendetta. He was compelled to take the stand in the hearing and not send attorneys, staff etc. His testimony was crap and he SHOULD be humiliated. Their statement even mentions what Kiffin said to Holly Rowe at half-time and categorized it as a lack of institutional control. Based on his testimony, the SEC attorneys didn’t prepare him at all. If that’s who is representing them in Birmingham, we’re good.
Imagine how this man was seething and sputtering when he thought we would be in the fetal position and we threw a circus in the rain before we dismantled Clemson.

I'm aware.
Just admit you aren't aware of the timeline of events.
Or you think thar the SEC can make rules retroactive somehow.
Otherwise the SEC would be liable for expelling LSU. LSU has followed THE SEC rules as they were in place at the time.

likely would have to be 15-0 and it would be very foolish.
Would require 11 schools
