I would love for the ACC or Big 12 to release a statement

They don't even need to mention LSU. Just release a statement that they will be meeting on Friday to discuss the possibility of adding another team to their conference.

LSU would eventually find their way into the BIG 10.

They wouldn't take us before we fought the SEC

We are not good enough academically.

The boos are going to be deafening when Sankey gets on the stage to hand LSU the SEC Championship trophy in December

He's big enough of a pussy to skip the game and send a proxy to give LSU the trophy

Kind of funny, they amended the filing to say that they are totally not suing "LSU"; they're just suing Rousse, Verge, Kiffin, and Lee Mallett.

Serious question - do they not have qualified immunity in their official capacities as president/AD/etc.?

The SEC isn't scared of those poverty conferences and I'm sure would welcome LSU committing suicide as a "told you so" for any other member looking to fight

At this point how can LSU remain in the SEC? Bridges are burning. How can we ever abide being treated as an unwanted stepchild? How can we get a fair shake in games, scheduling, and any other conflicts that’s arise in the future. I say it has gone too far and it is time to divest. Countersue the hell out of Stankey, the SEC, and all other members if they vote to expel.

ESPN has contractual rights to LSU (because they are in the SEC). If SEC votes LSU out of SEC, ESPN will have something to say overall potential revenue loss.

LSU would then be an independent and would have TV contracts lined up (similar to Notre Dame) etc.,

This really isn't as bad as I thought it would be for LSU.

If I'm LSU, I become an independent and lock up the biggest TV contract in history and schedule cupcakes like ND and walk to the playoff every year.

there is only one Big10 member that isn't AAU and they're about to get back in. LSU is years away from legitimately even applying.

It's not going to happen.

I'm sure ESPN would be fine with FSU or Miami replacing us.
The amount of money those two programs combined would bring to the SEC wouldn’t be enough to make up for losing LSU.

LSU ranked 160 I believe. Nebraska is ranked 158th academically. Oregon is in the 120s as well.

Let’s not pretend the Big 10 gives a shite about that

Nebraska is about to re-join the AAU. LSU isn't able to do that.

SEC schools have been turning each other in over rules violations since the beginning of the conference

And? They lost their status in 2011…way before they joined the Big 10. And only recently (2023) filed to get back in. I also haven’t seen any updates regarding this.

Once Nebraska re-joins, every school in the Big10 will be in the AAU.

The AAU is a big deal to the Big10.

LSU has no shot of getting in. No history in the organization like Nebraska, nor any path to join like they are doing now.

This saga is painfully Louisiana. Reminds me of reading about the civil war. The army was full of drunks and outlaws, albeit competent fighters. Led by generals that were extremely difficult for the Confederate brass to deal with.

He won’t last the vote. Lane got under his skin with his comment and he instinctively filed a federal lawsuit over it. Is this who we want running our league and representing our athletes?
