I guess we’ll see. I think they would jump at the chance to add any of the SEC schools. If AAU were the only thing they cared about then they would have added Stanford back when they expanded over Oregon.
The Big10 and AAU also have no formal relationship. Notre Dame JUST got into the AAU. You’re telling me with a straight face the Big 10 would have denied them because they weren’t an AAU member?

The Big10 is full of pompous douches and the AAU matters to them.

Tell me again how much Revenue Sankey brings to the SEC. Take away is 5 million salary and private jet. I am not positive, but I bet LSU Clemson was the most watched and talked about game over the weekend.

Again, once Nebraska gets back in EVERY school will be an AAU school.

Are we witnessing the start of the collapse of the NCAA, SEC, and other conferences?

Wouldn’t it be a brilliant long play by Kiffin to possibly use this to force the SEC to make Trinidad Chambless ineligible? The route that made Chambless eligible is no different than the route that these two players took. They were both determined to be eligible by a courtroom. LSU could countersue the SEC for discrimination. Several other member institutions have arrested players who won court cases in a similar way, and yet they are not being threatened. LSU did not even roster the players unlike Ole Miss Texas, Arkansas, Kentucky, and South Carolina.

The SEC says we recruited them(NFL Players) to sue the SEC. The problem I see with that is we recruited them and they joined us with a suit already against the NCAA, IIRC. Then the SEC came out with its ruling and then the players enjoined the SEC into their lawsuit against the NCAA. At that point they were technically LSU signees. I don’t know if that helps or hurts LSU but either way it doesn’t line up with the SECs claim.

Notre Dame can snap a finger and get into the AAU to facilitate that. Nebraska has to do more, but is literally doing this right now. Notre Dame would do the same
LSU has no realistic path right now to get into the AAU. It would probably take a 10-20 year plan.
