Your issue is, you just look at the results.

McFRAUD doesn’t put any pressure on the bluebloods so they the media are all cheering LSU to retain this joke of a coach…

Peter Burns can buy all the tickets for seats in the PMAC

Peter Burns is 100% on The Rant.

The only part of that drivel I agree with is the last line. The national media hates the idea of LSU being good at hoops.
Most of the time our weak leadership capitulates to these talking heads.
LSU brass has handled the end of this MBB season as poorly as possible thus far. That can change of course but I’ll believe it when I see it.

Where did he say the money might not be there? All I see is where he said it makes little sense to spend 15M+ to make a change. Makes perfect sense to me if you want to revive a dead, money-making program starting now. We could make significantly more money on basketball (like Bama is now) with an exciting, winning product. Bama had a nothing program and a boring atmosphere too for many years.

No legit case can be made for how bad his teams have been. Has to go.
Posted on 3/16/26 at 12:45 pm to LSU Patrick
This is why he must be FIRED 60-70 and 17-59 SEC over 4 years with no ncaa tournaments! Enough SAID!

Yes, results have been tough, but also McMahon's been crushed w/ horrible injury breaks last 2 seasons
Damn, I wish I had thought of this.

Yes, the media loves when LSU is bad in basketball. It’s the only reason for ESPN propping up McMahon.
The worst was the graphic during games saying he had 3 NCAA tournament appearances but did not say it was at Murray State

Didn't he also weigh in during November and claim that LSU shouldn't go get Kiffin?

The only close to arguable case is the money and if you are going to use that you are giving up. You can always use that if you want to.
We can win at all sports it just takes creativity and perseverance and the right coaches. It ain't easy but it's doable.
Kicking the can down the road with CMM to see if you can get attendance down to zero for a game at the PMAC can't be the answer.

Holy hell!! This can’t be a real statement??? Do you understand the definitions of the words you used?
It’s absolutely amazing how you keep arguing with comments like these. You can’t be a real person. That or you’re severely mentally retarded

Ok, well he's not right then because he didn't mention that. He just said it makes little sense to buy him out and spend millions to make a change. I say otherwise. Bama profited over 9 million last year in basketball. That's almost 4x what we made in basketball last year with an awful program. Tennessee made 12 million from basketball. Anyway, you get the picture. If you produce a winner on the basketball court these days, you can make a really good profit that can quickly pay for a lot of things.
