Not to nitpick but I'm pretty sure Giovanni DiGiacomo was ranked in top 300 as well.

He’s top 500, trust me he’s a little under rated.

NIce work...puts LSU’s class into context.

Dugas isn’t on the list but he’s looking like high quality signee as well.

He's 347 so he didn't miss it by much.

Florida will not be good next year.

State still be okay. They lose a ton of hitting.

Vandy is Vandy. Always competitive. Especially with pitching.

LSU is honestly the best looking group. 2019 national champs. Don’t @ me.

Agreed

Vanderbilt will be very very good next year, LSU will be very very good next year.

Arkansas and Florida will lose a lot.

Texas A&M should improve pitching wise.

I was very wrong on Arky this year. Even though I thought they were good, I assumed they would fall apart on the second half (per usual). Never happened. They won’t get another shot for a long time imo.

I think Easton McMurray will emerge as a surprise from this class. He is a 6'4" lefty that has a solid 91-92 mph fastball, which has improved since 2016 by 4 mph. That is updated information that seems to be missing from many scouting reports I have read. (Source: Perfect Game). They clocked him multiple times in late 2017 reaching 90-92 on his fastball regularly.

I have also read that he has a sinker and a curveball that will get some fixing when he gets on campus right away. We might have to wait until his second year but I could def see him becoming a big time name in purple and gold one day.

Not to toot my horn but I was very high Arkansas because they brought back 8 of 9 everyday players.

The pitching far exceeded expectations.

You’re right, that was their chance.

Corbin’s going to have a very good team (as per usual).

I read somewhere that McMurray was coming off of an injury but it didn't appear to be anything serious.

Florida will still have a strong rotation with Dyson, Leftwich, and Mace. Their bullpen will lack big time IMO. They don't have a Michael Byrne to fall back on anymore. Their hitting will really struggle next year losing India, Liput, Schwartz among others.

Giovanni DiGiacomo

Met his uncle a few weeks ago in Pittsburgh. He was telling me how excited his nephew was to come to LSU and how the family thought that by coming here to play ball he would gain a lot of exposure that he did not get in high school for multiple reasons.

I was more excited to learn that he chose LSU over the Pirates being that his entire family is from Pittsburgh and he had an opportunity to play professionally there. While I know he played high school ball in Florida, his family has roots in Pittsburgh and I imagine this made the decision to come to LSU over the Pirates a little more difficult than most.

that’s a very good needs class and they still have a ton of players left from last seasons signing class - which was pretty good - including the best freshmen in the conference in Heston Kjerstad. Casey Martin is also very good. They’re not going anywhere.

Arky fell apart. Just took them till the final out of their possible NC to do so.
