UGA, FL, Bama and Auburn would throw a shite fit if LSU got gifted that pod. No way it happens. That’s the real reason they won’t have UT and A&M in the same pod, IMO. It has more to do with balance than past grievances. Swapping Arky and A&M leaves all four pods with two “good” teams.

Same and stronger argument can be made with bama in the Auburn, Vols and Vandy pod. Ole Miss is better than Auburn this year. Mississippi State is better than the Vols probably for awhile due to NCAA violations and Vandy perpetually sucks.

And the balance is not static. It gets better or worse each season. IMO Arkansas being in the pod with LSU makes more sense than aTm.

That would be too weak of a pod for LSU.

But stronger than bama's pod.

The Vols, Vandy and Auburn is an easier schedule than Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Arkansas.

There's only one team's arse that the SEC kisses and that's alabama.

Why would you assume A&M would want them in the same pod?

This X 1000. A&M’s AD was crying about the possibility of Texas joining the SEC the minute the news broke. They’re terrified of the Longhorns coming in and restoring their little brother status.

I’m from the Jefferson’s Parish because I believe Vanderbilt is being taken to the cleaners.

A LOT of UT's power in the old SWC & now the BIG 12 comes from its alum's strength in the political spectrum in Austin. That has zero effect in the SEC. There were no 2-3 teams powerful enuff to block anything UT wanted to do. The SEC has, at minimum, 4-5-6 teams with equal if not stronger stroke.

They've been down for too long and have too much money to stay down. They'll eventually return to a powerhouse.

Eta ole miss, miss st, and Arkansas will remain bottom feeders

1. Ags do not want Texas in the SEC much less in a 4-team SEC pod with A&M.

2. ALL of this is speculation until it is official that OU/UT are coming into the SEC.

3. Even if we assume UT/OU will be in the SEC at some point, when that is could be 2022 or as late as 2026.

4. Pods are conjecture, pure conjecture.

Maybe if Alleva were still the AD. Having Scott is about to pay off in a major way.

This looks like pure conjecture on your part.
Absolutely is! Thanks for pointing that out to others who may not be quite as attuned to the English language as you.
"If Texas and A&M are not in the same pod it has already been negotiated to Texas' preference."---first line of the thread...
"I think---if it comes to pass that UT/A&M are not in the same pod---it is highly probable that the SEC has already begun sucking up to the UT money/influence."---Conclusion

That said, my biggest concern with this whole thing is that Texas would come in expecting the rest of the SEC to bow down to them and cause trouble if it didn’t happen.
Sad to say I agree. I don't trust UT for shite.

I'll keep saying it.

Texas is a cancer. Everywhere they go it's wrecked, and everyone else walks away with less money.

Uh-huh. Well! You sure told me! Sorry I fell out of line on checking the ratio for what I/we should or should not say, your wokeness. Forgive me?

If you were in high level SEC meetings when this was discussed then thanks for the valuable information. If you read this on Tiger Droppings then who knows.

First... please go back to your board...

Second, I think what the OP is trying to say is that it should be that way no matter what. Whether it be Texas asking for shite or A&M scared of Texas either way they want them in the conference then they should have to play in their area. Now is the time the SEC has to fix the dumb way the divisions are already made up. Geographically it should be that way with both of them together with Missou and Oklahoma. But like I said elsewhere I seriously doubt that Texas and Oklahoma want to be in the same thing.

If so then I agree. Thoe three should be on each other’s schedule every year, bit I promise, if we are around long enough, UT will try to phucque everyone else. Cannot abide that place and its associates.
