Pretty sure you are thiking of Joe Robinson. He had LSU at the top in ST. Under Peveto LSU was OK in his first stint before the CO DC disaster.

Right the guy who had trouble speaking a coherent sentence is now ready for an administrative job? He knows even less about basketball than Aleva and believe me that ain't good!

In all seriousness, Miles was always very good at attracting top flight coaches.

You are talking about the same man who was responsible for the Mallory/Peveto experiment, so no.

please shut up and go away.

Well, Miles did persuade Alleva that he was leaving and eventually getting a raise what 3 times?!

I wish him well. He needs to find a new location. His time at LSU needs to be in the rear view mirror.

100% agree! I remember him attending the CWS and was thinking how much he supports the school.

Alleva is not great, but I can't blame him for every situation
Why don't we just blame him for what he's hired to do which is to make good coaching hires. How did his last THREE basketball hires worked out for LSU?
How fricked up was the Jimbo crap last November and the football search this year?
Alleva has fricked up enough. The fact the man is still employed at LSU shows how crappy the LSU administration has become.

Hire him... He would do a dynamite job!

Make his governor
Will he tax us to death like JBE? Will he expand the medicaid rolls by a couple hundred thousand and not have money to pay for it? WIll he reward cronies with bullshite jobs? Will he try the toss dive 15 times per game?
DAMMIT

Miles couldn't run the football program effectively
I hate our ignorant and entitled fan base.
He only had the best tenure in lsu history while having a top 3 graduation rate.

Come on Les...get off the computer and go out there to find a job. I hear the concession workers get lots of hours on weekends.

Les was famous for his lack of attention to detail.
He's stubborn and unimaginative.
Loyalty to his friends and favorites clouds his judgment.
Has no business acumen.
Failed to see changes in his own sport and was unprepared for success.
Couldn't manage a clock or a game let alone a whole department.
yeah, sounds perfect.

I LIKE Les Miles, I really do. I would have much preferred for him to retire than to be fired, but it was past time for him to move on as the Head Coach and I just don't see him as an AD.
I hope he does well and would love to see him succeed with ESPN.
