That’s an insane stat. A few more hits and it easily could have been a flipped score of game 2.

LSU won't win with that many batters left on

A few more hits? We’d already set a hits record for a CWS game.

But you’re right. That game could’ve been so much worse for Florida. Glad our bats came out white hot last night.

They’re not gonna do well against good competition.

Iowa exposed them

JT would never be on base.

(this would have been my thought after Game 2, not gonna lie)

That's not going to get it done. J. Johnson has a lot of work to do or he's out...

That's gonna get us recycled back to Hoover. And we deserve it. Just cannot leave that many on base.

Leaving that many runners on base isn’t a concerning stat when you win 18-4

Kinda like being 3/12 on 3rd down conversions isn’t a concerning stat when you win by 3 touchdowns

when you have 2+ men on base most of the game and keep scoring, inevitably someone is going to get out and leave runners on

We went 24/49 at the plate and had a team OBP of like .600 last night

Keep dreaming. Jay isn't a big game coach. He lacks in-game adjustments.

How many games are we into the season and still leaving runners on en masse? Should be obvious why CJJ is failing.

Oh I agree. The fact that we are still failing to get guys in tells me he relies on the home run too much and prioritizes offense over defense. He makes zero adjustments. It’s easy to look good against the sisters of the poor but just wait until they play a team with a pulse.

Give me a coach like Van Horn or Schloss. Those guys are winners.

I was at that game. We've never recovered and it's pathetic.

Johnson said in one of the press conferences this week that it's a result of having such a high OBP. We are going to leave people on base because we get people on base. When you only get hits 3 of 10 times, it's more likely than not that runners on base will not lead to anything.

We should focus less on LOB by itself, and focus more on how we performed with people on base.

Last night, LSU was 11 for 23 with RISP, and those hits scored 16 of LSU's runs.

Good points, but it would not surprise me if this team was somewhere near an NCAA record for LOB in a season.

That's a record I can live with. I'd rather have runners on than not.
