The SEC regular season IS college football. Somewhere people lost this FACT.
Dude, you have got to be kidding. I don't argue that the SEC is the best conference, but there is far more to college football than the SEC.

Take a pill. It's not that metaphysical. We care about UofSpoiledChidren because they get to play by a different set of rules as you pointed out in your post.
Rantards and OTF(other Tiger fans) want to see an undefeated national champion LSU football team. And yes, USC losing was likely to be an important part of that. It does not help us beat UGA, UofF'd, MSU, 'Bama or any other team, but my dear friend, it does feel like Christmas.

ESPN dilutes the focus on the SEC. I can't believe it happens to SEC fans. I can't believe it happens to LSU fans.

It makes me happy. It may not affect LSU one bit. I enjoy seeing that overrated operation in SOCAL with their douche bag coach lose. Excuse me for living.

I post a fricking post with my opinion in it, and you either read it or you do not. I don't care. I'll quarantine myself so some airforce dumb frick doesn't have to hear the opinions of other people. Sure.

Gaston,
Your posts are illogical. It should be a good thing that one potential obstacle to being in the BCS game may be gone. It isn't about playing or not playing USC. If USC had run the table they would clearly have been in the Ship. There are other conferences and teams who may go undefeated, see Missouri and Oklahoma. If we lose 1 game but then win the SEC championship this gives us a better chance of getting in the big game.
Oh yeah, and I was happy those bastards lost just because.

I think he has a point. The goal of every season should be the SEC West and SEC respectively. Back in the day, the SEC champ was THE Championship. The polls and media have created this BS national championship as the "ultimate goal" and football fans have swallowed it hook, line...
I would choose a guaranteed SEC champioship at the beginning of the season EVERY year over a guaranteed shot at the MNC. But that's just my opinion so frick me.

Why on earth is USC losing like Christmas?
we are not the only fan base that enjoys when USC loses. everyone is tired of ESPN pumping them up as the greatest team in the universe. and then they turn around and lose to teams like Oregon State and Stanford. a lot of people like to watch them lose, just like everyone wanted New England to lose The Super Bowl last year.

FUSC. I enjoyed it. And I still enjoy it. Think Pete woke up with the soggy pillow (again)?

Ever since USC beat LSU 3-0 on a rainy night in Tiger Stadium many years ago, I have wanted USC dead. And their descendants dead, and their mascot dead, and their supporters dead, and their school dead and their state dead. So it's ALWAYS cause for celebration when they lose. And anyone that disagrees, well, I want them dead too. Oh jeeze, what's for lunch?

Anytime the media darling (USC) loses, it's like Christmas in July. Or September. Or whenever. Makes the "experts" look like the idiots they are.

It matters because now the SEC champ can probably lose a game and still make the BCSNCG.
Your point is valid, but I would quibble with the term "probably". "Possibly" would be more appropriate. USC's loss was on the road and early in the season. A later loss, especially at home, by the SEC champion could drop it behind USC very easily.

Rarely does a poster manage to distinguish himself among the rantarded masses in such a short time, but you, sir, have done it. Bravo!

This the THE POINT, exactly. When you're ranked 5 or 6, several things have to happen for you to have a shot at the Ship. The one thing that MUST happen no matter if you run the table yourself or not, teams ahead of you have to lose. No shame in celebrating one of those conditions occurring last night.
