I dismissed the whole thread when I read "easiest schedule in 20 years ". The rest of your thread may have a little merit, but that statement tells me you don't have a fricking clue. You are a DUMBASS

Serious answer here... I gave him about a 2.5 prior based off his previous work. LSU does bring in great talent so that alone was worth a 2.

Now I give him a 0. He had one job to do and that was to let the coordinators do their job. The one area NOT in his wheelhouse is offence and this is what he decided to stick his nose in it. Now we are looking for a OC one calendar year later. Regardless your opinion on Canada, we should not be looking for an OC year one into 0's tenor.

0 for O

If we're talking about confidence in winning a national championship...

0

I just don't see O as that kind of coach. He doesn't strike me as someone to build and sustain a championship level program. I see him as a rudderless leader with a completely erratic plan of "hiring the best" which he can't even do that well. He comes of as a "talker" and nothing more. Which actually works in recruiting and getting people to "buy in" but it just won't support a good program. I've said it before, but I have no problem saying that it is impossible, literally impossible, for Ed Orgeron to win a national championship.

If we're talking about confidence in our new goalposts of 8-9 win seasons...

5

He can probably sustain that long term. And if we're happy with that, he'll be successful.

And if you think dumb luck can get a persistent 8-9 win coach into a championship, maybe that gets overall confidence to a 2.

You decide which coach proved what he could do.

1 coach had accompliments.

name an easier one

8 of our 9 wins consists of teams with 6 losses or more.

3 of our 6 sec wins combined for 4 wins.

educate yourself instead of regurgitating bull shite

about a 1. I thought this would be his best year and if it was it will be a shite show. I doubt he will prove me wrong. He's made to be a d line coach and recruiter. He doesn't have it mentally.

See this is the thing I just don't get that some people, even the level headed ones, just gloss over with O.

Think that O might be able to somehow put something together? Sure.
Just be positive about LSU? Sure.
Think that LSU is setup to win, and we just need to make a few changes? Ok.
Think we had some line problems this year and we were young? Yeah I get it, we did and we were.

But, when the chips are down, the games get tough, and we're up against previous national championship winners, top of the line programs, and schemes/systems that have proven effective? And you think O can compete with that or has the mentality to sit down over a month and outplan a Nick Saban or Urban Meyer? Not a chance.
