Article has some pretty good GIF's and breakdown of key plays against Miami and Auburn. Shows Burrow is helping team win even if it doesn't show in the box score.

Watching the highlights of the Auburn game, I swear it seemed like he completed more throws over the middle in that game than we did all of last year.

I'll keep saying that Burrow is going to surprise a lot of people.

LSU fans have QB shell-shock from the past 10 years. When they see a low completion %, they (understandably) assume the worst.

But make no mistake, Burrow is an accurate QB who will make the big throws. The majority of his incompletions thus far have been drops, intentional throwaways, and tipped/disrupted passes.

It really sucked when they made the comment about imagining Fournette fun through holes that size... what could have been

It also seemed like we had a lot of low-percentage passes against Auburn. We threw a lot of deep balls, especially down the sidelines, where the WR was well-covered.

But I've rarely seen Joe throw an incompletion and just thought that it was poorly-placed.

He’s a Heisman contender, so I’d say he’s good

They did. Of his 34 throws against Auburn, I counted about 8 or 9 20+ yard deep shots.

My guess is that Esminger wanted to keep Auburn's DBs and safeties honest and loosen them up for the slant/intermediate game (which obviously worked). Or else, they saw Auburn DB's were mugging LSU's receivers and were intentionally trying to get some flags thrown (which also apparently worked...eventually )

But yeah. With the exception of a couple, they were all pretty well-thrown balls. LSU just couldn't manage to come down with many of them that day.

Like for 5th time you've said this. He better get busy, already 3 games down.

When have you seen him throw one. He does not throw many bad ones. Most of his incomplete are smart throwaways and drops. When he misses he puts it where only the receiver has a chance to catch the ball so even his misses are good throws. What's crazy is I see people saying he is very inaccurate and that's just not true. They are just looking at stats.

Almost everyone is of the same opinion as you, so that doesn't leave a lot of folks to be surprised.

At this point in the season, Burrow is a couple spots above Drake Davis in Heisman voting.

My favorite part is where the author calls Auburn War Eagle instead of Tigers.

He's an accurate passer, but more importantly makes good decisions. After THREE starts. He will be an NFL qb, maybe a career backup, but smart enough to be a game manager at that level.

Gus and CUM use the gun more than canada did but all 3 are SPREAD RUN first coaches( not all the time for canada). all 3 use dual receivers and a H back. although canada is more multiple and does not run power spread like GUS and CUM. they like to run to open up pass.nor spread option like oregon. E is installing a spread pass to open up runs. i like running from the gun. wished miles woulda done it. said it for years. remember crowton used spread pass schemes mixed with Miles power runs from I formation and ace formations. jimbo also at times would go 3 and 4 wide to open up the run game.

play action can work the best from under center in a ace or I (it worked fine in miles' offenses that were heavy run and successful)but if you aint running well it will kill your time allowed to throw. brees does a ton under center and from the gun. they both can work. you have to execute. the gun definitely gives you more time and could be best if you are not a run first team. if u throw and run enough from any formation the D will have to eventually defend both

I see him more like a Tom Bradie. Career winner of multiple NFL titles.
