It was Coach O who brought Burrow to LSU. It was Coach O who recruited him to come. Burrow has said it many times himself. We don’t win a Natty without Joe! We ain’t winning it with Narcisse or Brennan or McMillan. It wasn’t some clear cut choice. Joe Burrow came here because of Coach O.

It was a lot more than Burrow. It was Burrow, Damien Lewis, Brady, Ensminger to OC, not to mention all the great recruits like Chase and Chaisson.
If Orgeron and dumbass Woodward had stuck to the plan they could have had a dynasty. But Woodward had to pay that child $8 million a year guaranteed for four or five years. To that tiny mind, this was infinity. He is about to find out how little that actually is.

Explain the “plan”.
So what you’re saying is, his contract was expiring at the end of 2021 and negotiating a contract when the coach delivered the single greatest season in college football history is odd???
I’m not following.
The plan could have been wait until after the signing class I suppose, but the reality is that is not how it works. They were working on that extension in 2019.

How many of the starters are playing at the time? 2, 3? The team is playing with all backup players and you expect to win every game? Amazing how stupid some people are. Can’t see through their P&G glasses.

I shouldn’t have to. It was well known that Orgeron was to be paid less than market value, and the difference would be used to supplement staff pay so he could be supported by the best staff in college football. That was the only way Orgeron could succeed.
