The sausage isn’t made to eat right out of the smoke house.
We cook it on the grill, make gravy or po boys.
I bought a small convection oven and cook it in there. It’s delicious

Both actually have butane burners that burn the wood so they can regulate the heat.
Usually around 160 degrees.

We were yuge Teet’s fans for decades, then we tried Guillory’s in Pine Prairie. Even better, but you can’t go wrong with either.

You people have way too much free time on your hands worrying about this shite!

I'm not a glutton/addict and can go a few hours without any food.

I don't go to an LSU football, basketball or baseball game to ingest overpriced culinary garbage.

I'm there to watch the game and could totally care less about the concessions.

Yall all seem so hyped out because LSU is not serving you exquisite cuisine at their athletic events.

Man the thing I miss most about my time living in the Crowley/Ville Platte areas is that I can’t go into to just about any local gas station/small grocery and pick up fresh made smoked sausage. B&S gas station in Ville platte and some little convenient store in Pine Prairie were my go to places.

You are missing the point like many here. I can easily go 24 hours without eating. It's not about needing a sausage poboy, it's about what I want after getting a buzz from tailgating all day. It's what I ate when I was 10 going to LSU games. I don't need everything I eat to come from a 5 star restaurant.

best damn thing sold in our sports venues

It really ain't that difficult. EVERYTHING they sell is shite. The sausage poboy is the only thing remotely edible.

Over smoked with wood at the wrong temp so it has an acrid taste.

You do realize Ville Platte is the "Smoked Meat Capitol of The World" right (I googled it)? Who am I to question their methods? All I know is it is hands down the best pork based product I ever ingested in my life and worth the ridiculous shipping fees.

As others have stated, Manda is simply a glorified gross hot dog.

I can't stand when i go eat somewhere and someone made a nice pot of red beans and put Manda crap in it. I immediately want to throw it away after tasting it.
I"m not a picky eater at all, but Manda "sausage" is just disgusting to me and i simply can't stand to eat it.

I would never use it to cook with. Like you said it's a glorified hot dog but I don't think it's gross. I prefer it over the tiger dog.

I feel like you're one of those guys in Free Speech Alley just waiting for someone to cross your path to prove how smart you are. People can ask questions and get answers without you having to act like a jack wagon.
