They are DELICIOUS! They remind me of the sausage sandwich that Ollie's Trolley, on State Street across from A&P and TG&Y used to make.

Since Mandas’ Owner is on the Board of Supervisors, I would say that’s a pretty good bet.

If they would just order from Teet's in Ville Platte, they would sell out every game. Jalapeno cheese sausage, smoked. Put that on the grill to cook for 10-15 min. Spicy mustard and some grilled onions. Done son. Seriously guys. You can order it online. Had a buddy from VP tell me about it. Changed my life.

Mother of God.
I have never heard of this place, now I am ready to drive 4 hours there and back....

Cutrer’s Slaughter House is the only place I buy meat from these days. You will never eat store bought meat again after you eat theirs. The filets and rib eyes are huge They are located in Kentwood but they are also at the French Market in BR on Saturday mornings. They are also at the small market across the street from the Baton Rouge Clinic on Perkins Rd On Thursday afternoons. Below is a list sausage they offer. They also have a pineapple bacon sausage that is awesome. Below the sausage list is a link to their website.

Real Hickory Smoked Meats & Paw Gaylon's Hickory Smoked Sausage
Paw Gaylon's Hickory Smoked Link Pork Sausage 3 lb $3.97 $11.91
Paw Gaylon's Hot Smoked Sausage 3 lb $3.97 $11.91
Beef Smoked Sausage 3 lb $4.50 $13.50
Cajun Smoked Sausage 3 lb $3.97 $11.91
Cajun Pepperjack Smoked Sausage 3 lb $4.95 $14.85
Jalapeno & Cheese Smoked Sausage 3 lb $4.85 $14.55
Mama Ruth's Bell Pepper & Onion Gourmet Sausage 3 lb $4.95 $14.85

Anyone know the brand of their sausage? I'm guessing it's Manda's, but I ain't for sure.

Listening as well. It's my favorite concession item from baseball and football concessions

This is very subjective. People LOVE Veron's or hate it.

Something about it bothers me and I would never use it in my cooking. But my parents LOVE it. And put it in red beans and jambalaya regularly.

Just off the top of my head......
Richard’s
Martin’s
Veron’s
French Settlement Sausage Co.

.......all are much better than Manda’s. That’s not even counting the store brands that aren’t mass produced.

I googled this and it looks like they hold it in the Pennington Parking lot. Is this the one?

I had no idea they had this good meat there. Thanks!

Manda tastes like hotdogs.

Verons and Martins are standard. If you want the best, buy the real Verons from the Veron market in Lutcher.

One more tidbit about Curtrers and the markets is if you know you want something. Call them to make sure they bring it because they only bring a select menu to the markets

We make our own sausage.
You can buy all the ingredients at Targils in Opelousas.
Just need a meat grinder, stuffer and a small smokehouse.
Have 2 friends that have all that.
I like to use Boston Butt and about 20% sirloin or pork chops.
We try to use Pecan to smoke with.
Takes a day, but a few of us get together and drink beer.
Have yet to find any sausage anywhere that tastes better.
Final cost is about $1.50 a pound if you buy yet pork on sale at .99 a pound, which we always do.
Also make our own Tasso too. Sirloin pork is the best for Tasso.
