F that bitch! Watching him on his presser talking about how he would never take a guy that was cut from an NFL team and eligible for a 5th season because it is not fair to the guys who have been there for 9 months is comical.

Do you know who Cole Hutson is you dirty bastard?? Your OL who participated in minicamps with the cowboys and browns.

He is scared of LSU and Kiffin and knows we are going to step on their throats when they come into Baton Rouge this year.

Hot take to. That scumbag is fired this year after they lose 4

EDIT: Lane Kiffin said he will not have to cut anybody on the team if Wright and Junior are allowed to play.

I’m surprised he even made that little dig considering him and Kiffin are buds, am I missing something?

Hudson was invited to a 3 day minicamp in May and not paid .No contract signed.

I dont like any of it but its not apples to apples. The rule is you cant sign a pro contract. Going to a 3 day minicamp in the spring vs going through fall camp and preseason making 6 figures aren't in the same league. If the roles were flipped and Texas was doing what we're doing, you'd be saying they're the same, right?

Yes you always argue morality when LSU has broken no rules.

Who cares?? People act like the two guys we want are NFL vets lmao. These dudes didn’t even make the team and are eligible for a 5th season.

Anyway that’s not really my main point here. Sark said that it is unfair to these guys who have been there for 9 months meanwhile Cole Hutson came back to Texas on August 7th to take a kids spot Lmao. Dude is a hypocrite is what I am saying.

Because of the timelines and decisions, the LSU kids were left with no other options. This is what the pundits routinely leave out.

Sark was probably drunk and didn’t even know that someone on his staff signed one of these guys.

They very specifically languaged the rules where Hutson would be eligible but our guys would not. It's absolutely hilarious though he is taking this stance acting like it's some huge difference in any guys pursuing pro careers becoming eligible under a ruling that came this late and trying to pretend like they are massively different and they are on some kind of higher level because Hutson wasn't good enough to get invited to training camps.

The hypocrisy is critical levels there. Congrats the rule was written in a way where Hutson is "fine" but some other guys are not, it doesnt mean you should go on a mic and look like a total jackass in the process when you take Hutson back.

If the roles were reversed I would still be saying a one time waiver for these guys should happen. Unless the NCAA or SEC wants to threaten Trinidad and Ole Miss.

None of these guys even made the team. Many were undrafted right?

Sark didn’t have to say the last part to act all moral when he still brought a guy back.

I like how Kiffin defended it.

The problem with this and the pandora box it opens and I'm sure what the NCAA/conferences are trying to avoid is continual "interpretations" of the 5 for 5 rule allowing every class up to the 2027 incoming class to continually be ruled "eligible" for a 5th season (meaning 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 classes all to be retroactively granted 5th year's under their "interpretation" of the rule).

Thats honestly what they should just do ant get it over with and stop worrying about everything, but they will make it difficult on themselves. Coming up with 5 for 5 and only going to start applying to incoming freshmen for 2027 and beyond was just a beyond stupid move by the NCAA and also to rule this in the freaking summer when guys are out there trying to make NFL Teams who could have stayed an extra year in college if they knew they had eligibility. NCAA leadership is so entirely fricked right now. Any person with a functioning brain knew what would happen with a ruling like that when it came down, apparently the NCAA couldnt see it though. If they had literally just waited till season end and say 5 for 5 is the new rule (and apply it immediately not only to incoming classes) this never would have been issue to begin with.

Agreed man. They screwed these kids over. Yeah I’m an LSU fan but even if I was outside looking in I would still understand.

Let’s not forgot everyone that Chambliss is on his SIXTH year making millions this year.

They just don’t like Lane and LSU that’s why all the media attention.

False.

You have been educated on this but continue to lie.

He was paid

Once again.

You have been educated on this.

Wright and Harris did not have guaranteed contracts. When they were cut they did not make the remainder of the contract thus they didn’t make 6 figures

Hutson will make 6 figures to play football this fall.

Wright and Harris probably won’t.

Who is the professional football player here

Can’t wait for this jack arse to come to Death Valley. Beating Texas and another Manning was already going to be wonderful, this just made it so much better.

Business decision to keep all the negative energy on Lane. Doesn't matter lol. Friends don't have to agree on everything.

And even that is a weird hill for the haters and losers to die on considering college players are paid too!

Here is the number 1 problem. The NCAA is, and has been, having an identity crisis for several years. The NIL era has hastened their demise. They can only see one step at a time instead of fleshing out the future of their decisions. In their attempt to prevent 6 & 7 year college athletes, they pushed this new rule out on a terrible timeline and opened themselves up to what's happening. College football is out of control right now.

Could've had a blanket waiver with a few stipulations and none of this would be an issue.

The NCAA has no teeth anymore. They don't control the CFP or who is "National Champion" so why do schools need them going forward? I bet within 10 years we see a breakaway league.
