The nonsense isn’t so much the ncaa rule, the ncaa is at least consistent. The main problem with the sec is they chose to listen to other court orders but decide that this one they will make a stance against and threaten to level harsh penalties over playing players with the court order.
The timing of who is eligible and not is the most nonsense part of it.

It’s nonsensical because you granted 5 years to all players except these, even though they fall within the 5 years.

Class of 2022 should have a 5th year to play. The ncaa said you have 5 years now. 2026 woukd be their 5th season. The class of 2021 would be in their 6th season so that’s irrelevant as is anything else from pre-2022

Because 2022-2026 is 5 football seasons and you can reasonably argue that since the 2026 season hasn’t been completed, those players should have that 5th season.

I understand that 2022-2036 is 5 seasons. Why does that automatically mean they deserve a 5th year?

By not going to court SEC effectively is saying they don't care about what the law says, that is not good.

Not really. You just said that they you could reasonably argue that they should get 5 years. I’m asking you for the reasoning behind your argument. The NCAA created a new rule that goes into effect with the class of 2023.

That’s just you stating your opinion though.
Thats like me saying since the rule did not go into effect until after the class of 2022 athletes ran out of eligibility, they shouldn’t be included in the 5 for 5.
