This does not please me.

Productive calls means that the SEC realized how bad they were about to lose in court so delayed the hearing and will ultimately drop it all together with LSU losing nothing but roster spots held for Wright and Harris.

But the SEC will claim that that is all the really wanted and LSU begged them to drop the suit

Do you still think all of this nonsense over two players that wouldn't even start was worth it, even if LSU was in the right?

There's no way you do, and I firmly believe the players and LSU have a valid claim here and are being treated unfairly

The only worth here is finding out where your “friends” are. This is one tiny pebble in the fricking LSU is going to receive in this conference constantly. I will not feel fully vindicated until at least Sankey is fired.

We are hated here. How can we remain partners with so many institutions who hate us?

You just can’t trust Dellenger in this.

His “reporting” has been completely one sided. I’m pretty certain that is just the SEC narrative.

Kiffin is running up the score every chance he gets this year. This has gone so far beyond personal.

This was about power and weakening a threat. Nothing more.

Are you kidding? It was great publicity. It also really cemented the bond between Kiffin and entire LSU community.

I mean I guess maybe he's a big time well known reporter or writer, but I don't ever remember him being involved or cited in LSU related news until recently

He was an LSU reporter for several years, then moved to SI, and I think he got friendly with Scott Woodward and crew who is not a fan of Lane or Will Wade at all.

It just so happens his old LSU sources hate the new guard

Winning is even better publicity and cements a bond

This level of nonsense was simply not worth it.

I know people feel very galvanized right now, and LSU to me was clearly in the right. But sometimes you just have to know when to fold em

Are we?

Not a single one of these “credible” reporters
named a source. A source can be anyone, even if they have an axe to grind and are telling a lie

Throughout this whole ordeal, I always imagined the “source” to be one person with an ulterior motive

Do we actually know that they had the votes? I doubt it. The precedent that the league can kick you out for any little thing wouldn’t sit well with many

Maybe. It’s either vendetta or he’s being paid to promote a narrative.

I could be wrong, but I do not think it was ever even coming to a vote

This was about LSU publicly capitulating, agreeing to the Commissioner as a de facto dictator of the Conference, etc

Nothing more. It was about self-governance in a post-NCAA model.

There better not have been any agreement made to suspend Kiffin in these “positive” calls

This can't be correct. The SEC Rant says Sankey only does what he is told by the SEC Presidents. Rousse must be talking to one of them.

I hope Dellenger comes to town for a game and gets towed by Riverside Towing.
