What do you call it when people do the same thing over and over again, expecting a different outcome? Maybe I should’ve called him insane. Would that have mattered much?
He knows he doesn’t have that shot. His caddy knows he doesn’t have that shot and by the way that’s who I blame. Why risk it? The first thing I would do as far as the caddy. He sure the hell isn’t doing his job.

You don’t have to call it anything.

Saying he struggles to close out tournaments would be making an observation. Calling him stupid and frick up is shitting on him. If you can’t see that, then you are beyond help.

I was expecting these people to show up if Burns didn’t win. Everybody else on here pulling for Burns while he made a great comeback from five strokes back today. When he messes up at the end, these other idiots come out of the woodwork claiming they were cutting grass and turned it on right when he messed up.
Never hear from them while Burns is making the comeback.

Sam's a solid, sometimes really good to great, golfer.

But he's got something in his brain that glitches on day 4's something fierce.

He did not fade away on day four. He stayed the course.

I thought it was a good tourney for him as he did not fold in later rounds.

What do you think that guy thought he was worth? He’s got $43 million in career earnings, not including endorsements. $2.5 million this year.

...and 5 wins on the PGA Tour by the age of 29. I did not look up his top 5's or 10's.

Current OWGR is 29th. Has been as high as 9th in his career.

Every golfer on this board would cream their jeans to be in Burns shoes right now.

To be clear, I’d give my left nut to get a top 5 on any PGA tour event. I will always support Burns, even when he doesn’t close the deal. I’m guessing everyone on this board has won at a high-level multiple times and consistently without choking too? Right?

3 strokes in last 3 hole - double bogey on 16 and a bogey on 18. Went from tied for 8th to tied for 20th.

I will always pull for Sam. He is well respected and i know he has some trouble finishing up tournaments but the PGA is tough. There are a lot of great golfers now and winning is tough.

Scottie hasn't looked like Scottie lately but he is still playing good golf and with what golf pays now its a pretty good living.

I would take placing in top 15 in every tournament and live pretty well.

Just do your best Sam. And Sam in the words of Tin Cup you cant always go for it.
