Every fricking tournament “Tin cup” burns fricks up and tries to do something that he shouldn’t. All he had to do is lay up.
He keeps costing himself a lot of money because he’s stupid. He is not Scotty. He is not Rory. He needs to be Sam Burns.
This is why I don’t gamble on sports and most importantly why I would never pick him to be on the Ryder Cup team. However.

The money isnt thst relevant. He probably wants to win one. He is already a multi millionaire many times over. Just lay up.

He’s the one to Byron Nelson. He’s not worth as much as you think. And yes, the sponsors care about the money. The smart move is to give yourself a chance because none of these guys were separating themselves. He completely didn’t give himself a chance by doing what he did.

They’re commenting on just what it is. Every freaking weekend that he’s near the top he does something to cost himself the tournament. Everybody is rooting their arse off for him to win. I can assure you he is as much disappointed in himself as everyone else is. If you don’t think fans are invested in him, think again. It is natural to react to something that was completely controllable by him. All he had to do was lay up and Be smart. Give yourself a chance. But once again he didn’t. It’s a pattern.

I have no idea what he is worth, but he has won over $43million in his career plus all the sponsorship money he has made. Whether he wins $1million or $600k for i2nd place n this tournament is irrelevant.
I did not come to shite on Burns, always root for him.
ETA: 4th place in this tournament pays out $1million

He’s already having back problems. That’s why you be smart and you hit the shots that you have in your bag and not ones that you wish you were in your bag. If Rory was there, as much as I hate him, I know he would go for that shot. He has that shot in his bag.
Sam will be playing Scotty for the rest of his career and a lot of other younger golfers that have come along. Missed opportunities is what’s gonna define his career unless he changes his approach.

Always pulling for Burns. I would consider myself someone who watches a good amount of golf. Burns is very talented but he has to go over the Sunday hump. It does feel like I’ve watched him choke a good amount of Sundays at this point. He’ll be alright though.
