No, no we didn’t. We fired him because he was winning 8-9 games, losing to Arky, Ole Miss, etc. and flat out refused to change the offense.

He’s got a likely top 10 opponent in the opener to build excitement. If he fails then people were probably right, if he wins fans will be back on board week 1.

Why would anyone boycott an undefeated (albeit early) LSU returning home after a top 10 win?

All up to you O, beat Miami.

You will know everything you need to know 3 games into the season.

Myles Brennan may actually bail out Alleva and Orgerons dumbass.

No, don’t say that. That’s the coward’s way out - making excuses in advance. If they have a good year it’s to Orgeron’s credit, and a bad year is his fault. He’s the head coach. I don’t hear people saying Tua bailed out Saban.

Dumb argument is dumb.

Here's a newsflash...no coach, anywhere in the country...and some are now saying IN HISTORY...is doing/has done what Nick Saban is. Period. So stop comparing Eaux to him. He has no comparison.

I wish I could bottle up the fans that stayed for the Auburn game in the hot sun with me. Those fans are what make LSU great. Those fans are what make young recruits want to run out of that tunnel on Saturday.

All current negativity will be gone if LSU starts 5-0. Trust me no one will be thinking about boycotting anything. Not predicting it, just saying if it happens.

If we do improve and win 10 games, more fans will come back. It’s not that hard, really.

I wasn't a fan of the way we hired Orgeron but gave him the benefit of the doubt when he said he would bring in the best coordinators. With the Canada exit and the Ensminger deal, said "benefit" is now gone.

Our administration and coaching staff are not interested in competing for championships.
I'm with you. The 'benefit of doubt' I was willing to give Orgeron lied in:
A) got something to prove because of OM. Opposite of CLM's complacency, the I know better than all of you attitude, and hardheadedness.

B) Because of the lack of CLM's 'good baggage', his record and tenure, we would get better assistants and less friends couple with a more mercenary attitude towards those assistants, i.e. accountability.

Both A & B are shot to shite. Don't want Miles back. But don't want a lesser quality clone either. Both, by garner support in all the right places, are protecting themselves above the program. To make it worse, the hardline for me was repeating OM mistakes... welp, only 1 was enough. Way past that.

So you are settling for second, third, fourth best. Okay buddy Georgia is in the second year with a whole new staff and made the Championship game. Oklahoma is in the first year with the current staff and made the playoffs. Again When you have a good Head Coach the coordinators shouldn't matter so much. There is a reason what LSU is doing has never been done before and after this fail it will never be tried again.

No we didn't. Miles was fired because he ran an antiquated offensive system that was excruciating to watch at times and refused to change. He was also on a downward trajectory in the SEC.

I would hope that those crybabies who proclaim that they plan to "boycott" because of our football coaching hires will also stay the hell away from the TigerRant.

Why should those jerks even be interested in following LSU football on this site? But, you know, they will be here, anyway, fully sulking with their miserable attitudes.

I just don't know why it's necessary for dissenters to get on this site everyday and express dissent, again. We heard the 50th time, jerk.

I also don't understand why many of these jerks invest so much of their happiness on whether LSU wins or not. Of course, I want LSU to win every game in every sport for the rest of eternity. But, if a loss occurs, I don't let it ruin my life.

Our philosophy is currently one of having a great defense at all costs and paying a well-respected, young, accomplished coach, whatever it takes to get it done, in combination with a cross-your-fingers-offense.

miles averaged right at 10 wins a year BUT his last few years were far from that. his SEC record was dismal and not even close to challenging for the title.

surely you know why we fired miles. why do you distort your post with that mistruth?

in the long run, Orgeron will have to win some titles or he's out. I think 10 wins his first year would have been fine but we didn't get it. orgeron will have to do a better job next year or he's on the hot seat big time, imo

9 wins in 2015 with a game against McNeese cancelled is "far" from 10 wins
