You’re going to have to beat good teams to win the national title

Bama and UT have by far the lowest TARP rating of any SEC teams.

I don’t want A&M bc I think they’re weird AF and it feels like some forced “rivalry”. Give me Bama, Ole Miss and Florida or Auburn.

I like it. We have a (for now) perenial measuring stick with an elite program. With an extended playoff a loss to Bama isn't going to hurt most years. Most teams outside of the SEC don't know where they stand until the playoffs.

Yeah Bama will not be the same post Saban and thats coming soon

100%. Kelly is building a monster. Saban is closer to the end than the beginning.

Nick should not be concerned with Tennessee. As soon as their coach moves on, they will fall quite a bit. And the fighting aubies seem to be a continuous dumpster fire.

The LSU-Florida game is one of the best games in the SEC. I’d really hate to lose it.

Bama, OM, Florida >>>> Bama, OM, atm.

But now we’ll probably have to beat them twice in a season to do so. Remind me how that went last time? I want whatever is the best scenario for LSU to make the playoffs every year and this isn’t it.

Maybe. Maybe not.

Even if you didn’t play them every year if they’re good enough to worry about them you’ll probably end up meeting them in Atlanta and then possibly again once the playoff expands.

Going to a 12 team playoff is going to end up with more rematches than we’re used to anyway.

I want fun games in tiger stadium. Fun games means playing good teams.

Everyone bitches about tiger stadium attendance then in the next breathe some of you want to see LSU play the sisters of the poor every year. That doesn’t align.

I can’t believe Saban that stupid to say he doesn’t know how they came up with those three. Auburn is a given. Tennessee is a given. Both are old time traditional rivals. LSU is more recent rival, in terms of decades, and is one of most attractive games in SEC.

That would be a brutal grouping. Who's idea was it to take historically the 4 best SEC West schools and put them in a single group. Guess they're trying to make it easy for OU and UT likely getting matched with Miss State and Arkansas. I assume Auburn is getting paired with UGA.

It’s not a pod. Those 4 aren’t all paired with one another. That’s just who they are saying LSU’s 3 permanent opponents will be. Apart from having LSU as a permanent opponent, the pairings for the other 3 will be different. Bama would likely have Tennessee and Auburn. A&M would have Texas and someone else. Ole Miss would have Miss St and another bottom half team.

More than likely Georgia is getting Florida, Auburn and one bottom half team.

This is not finalized and it's likely going to change anyway. I wouldn't mind that draw though. Bama can only go down from here, Ole Miss will never do anything, and A&M has sucked for like 40 years. I'll take it.

Yea if there were any justice it would be Florida instead of A&M. I'm fine with Bama and Ole Miss.
