Saban had a 60 percent winning percentage at Toledo and Michigan St.
He was 48 years old when he took the job.
Kiffin was 50 years old when he took the job.
He had 70 percent winning percentage as a head coach before coming to LSU

Oh great another comparison to Saban. Can you make a new thread and compare Leavitt to Burrow and JD? Thanks.

Maybe just scroll on through if you don’t like the thread??

Saban is not the comparison for Kiffin. Spurrier is the comparison.

He most definitely is because now that the Saban documentary is out you can see the snippets of things he is doing that he got from Saban like focusing on the play right now, forget the score/win this play, the process blah blah blah, etc.
Right now Lane is in a quandry to figure out how to win the tight games. We all watched Saban do this week in and week out and pulled it out 9/10 times. Kiffin had the opportunity to walk out of OM and UK with wins and did not. This is a learning curve that we all hope he gets through.

We could have hired Kirby Smart and people would find a way to complain. If you think that these upper tier coaches only care about NIL and nothing else matters then idk what to tell you.

Even Kirby went 8-5 in his first year!

At a school with sone of the best resources and proximity to talent in the country. LSU will be perfectly fine moving forward. LK is a victim of his own recruiting success right now

Saban had a completely different style of holding players accountable. He chewed their arse out when they fricked up.
Kiffin ghosts them.
Kiffin ghosts them.
