I've been accused of cheating on tests because I never studied, but somehow made A's... I didn't call the teacher a frickin pussy.
1) Did the teacher accuse you in front of whole class? And how did the teacher know you didnt study?
2) Is taking a test likely to induce the same emotions as performing in a competitive sport in front of thousands?
3) Your analogy of your teacher equates to Reynolds cussing PM, which did not happen. He was accused of cheating by the opposition.
You, nor I, can place any judgement on Reynolds for his reaction. We havent been in that position.

You're absolutely correct. I can only say I would hope to handle it better.

I doubt i would. I'm a pretty level-headed person but cheats, thiefs, and liars make my blood boil. If someone called me one I probably would say something i ended up regretting once i cooled down.

Maybe, but "Frick you, pussy"? I can see him saying something, but on as big of a stage as he sits, you'd think he may try and use another phrase.

In my most irrational moments, I throw the term "cocksucker" out quite a bit.

If RR jawing at the coach was so egregious, the ump would have at least warned him. You won't find many situations with a player openly (and loudly) cussing a coach without an umpire warning or worse. I didn't catch the game live, but I haven't seen any replay showing the ump saying anything back to RR. I'd say that is the ump tacitly acknowledging that Riser's claim was BS. The bottom line is you don't throw around the cheater accusation (and regardless of what you think, asking for ump to check hat, bat or whatever is an accusation) in baseball without being pretty damn sure of it. When you throw it out mid inning halfway through a game, that is busch league. Anybody claiming otherwise either never played or just doesn't know shite about baseball.
And every single hat i own has the same "goo" on the bill

So you wouldn't be mad if some dude accused you of cheating in front of thousands of people? Imma call BS on that one. Baseball is RR's whole life right now, and Riser accused him of being a fraud.
And if Riser knew anything about RR he would know that RR has gone to that same spot on his hat since day one.

It's disrespectful for a college player to address a coach the way he did.
Its also disrespectful to call someone out for cheating( especially when they arent) in front of thousands of people.

Any comparisons to what happens on a ball field with, hypothetically, might happen in a class room is dumb & dumber. Any one who has played sports at a high level knows that emotions & energy levels are raised to a much higher level than in every day life. Throw in the heat of competition, what's been happening to the relief staff of late to that & then mix in the utter stupidity & classlessness of Riser's actions, and, yea, I can see a 19-20 old major college player getting pissed. CPM certainly had no problem with his comments.

Im not 100% sure, but I have a feeling thats along the lines of what I would have said.

I guess that is why the ump didn't kick his arse out of the game... the ump was never a pitcher.
The, we haven't been in that position argument, is total bullshite.

this debate is still going on?

I think he should have pegged that batter right in the arse with the next pitch.
