Anyone ever see anything about that? I know we all saw that at least six seconds was coming off after each time the clock was "stopped".

I do believe there is some kind of rule for lopsided games, but I'm certainly no expert

Had to be a gentleman’s agreement b/w coaches to start 2nd H

Go back and check our TOP on Helaire’s TD run. LOL

It took him 26 seconds to run 89 yards? LMAO

It was a 1st down play on first snap of possession

It was happening entire 2nd H

Noticed this at the game.
Hard to believe it would be a halftime agreement.

I noticed it several times. They weren’t stopping it on first downs

My podnuh and I saw that last night. The Refs in the last minutes of the game did not stop the clock for First Downs to move the chains. Maybe the coaches agreed to this???

This happened at least three times that I saw. Once on LSU and twice on Arky. Nobody was complaining on the sidelines.

Not hard to believe

Interim coach with the weakest team in maybe the history of Arkansas FB facing #1 on the road, playing 3 different QBs

It was at one point this week the largest point spread in history of SEC, I think

Game moved with the quickness last evening. Beats those 4 plus hour CBS games.

I have never seen it in any other games I’ve watched no matter how bad the score was.

It's not unheard of. SEC office would have to be onboard along with Woodward and Yurachek.

I'm pretty sure this is exactly what happened.

Started in 3rd qtr. they also started the clock after a change of possession and always ran off time after every incompletion, score, penalty etc

My problem with it is if it’s agreed to than the team getting their arse kicked shouldn’t be trying onside kicks and crap

They also made the clock operator add a second to the clock during the first quarter after a score

Well, I see the clock and that stuff as two different things entirely.

One is mercy rule.

The other is an interim coach trying to get his team (at his alma mater) to play hard for a whole game, even if shortened. Because they haven't been; that locker room has been ugly. Real ugly. He's trying to salvage a program, not a game or season by replacing the quit with pride.

Frankly, if I was Lunney, anyone who didn't practice hard the week leading up to our game wouldn't dress out. If they quit in that game, they wouldn't dress for the Fighting Poop Swastikas. That would be rough for any seniors, not a good way to go out. But it would definitely send a message to the underclassmen.
