I'm not saying that, but Coach O would give us a huge boost in recruiting and probably would lock up the top class if he came in.

I don't know, I think it has been explained. HE was with CP at USC I don't remember where he went after that I think he is unemployed.

Just take a look at the talent Tennessee and USC were able to secure with O as recruiting coordinator...it is what he does best..good DLine coach, great recruiter

Coached for a long period. After the stint in USC with Kiffin, I believe he decided to watch his son play H.S. football. His son is a senior this year.

When Little Lanie Kiffen was fired from USCw, EO took over as interim HC and led.the Trojans back into contention for the Pac, (6-2, under EO iirc). He sat out 2014. I don't know the details but he's very likely still getting paid by USCw.

O sat out by choice to watch his sons play. I believe one is a senior this year. He hadnt determined yet if he would take off one more year or get back to coaching this coming year.

Yep plus he is probably still getting paid by USC until he gets a new job.

How will this help the God awful qb play
And please let it be true! This quote from the article about Pendergast sold me.
quote:
Whatever the scheme, Pendergast says the most important thing to being a good defensive coordinator is being able to adjust your system and understanding your own strengths and weaknesses. "And," he says, "being able to fit your players in it and knowing how to make adjustments during the course of a game depending on how someone's trying to attack you."
Pendergast also believes it's vital to get pressure on the opposing QB. "Whether it's a running quarterback or a passing quarterback, you always try to get them off their spot and give them different looks," he said. "You don't want to be vanilla."

Both he and CP did pretty much the same thing. They both were still collecting money from USC and just spent the year off to get with family. CP also did a little consulting with NFL teams and Tennessee, and watched a lot of all-22 tape of games.

Criticism is fair, but referring to Chavis' defenses at LSU as "great failure" is just a sign that you have major abandonment issues, i.e. he left us, he wasn't any good anyway.
You are an idiot, his defensive unit kept LSU competitive most of the time he was here.

Why the bump? Was hoping to come in and see some spectacular insider "my cousin knows a guy who spoke with a lady's son who cleans the water closet in the AD's office" type news. But, alas...

Not really sure. I don't even know if Pendergast is really out of the running at this point.

will believe this when LSU and Les Miles says it is so.
