Down vote away but I just don't see LSU surviving as an independent. Hopefully, we'll get on with another conference. Whoever the SEC accepts will leave an empty hole in their conference.

They wouldn’t. It would be impossible to fill out a schedule as an independent in many minor sports.

I have been saying this since this morning.
The problem is, that does Nothing for us right now.
If these 15 fricking criminals do what they appear to want to do on Thursday, LSU will not play another football game for years, and they have effectively killed LSU athletics.
It would take years to get a contract and organize a schedule while schools are colluding to prevent us from building one.
In the interim, we would lose every player and coach from our roster and destroy all of the momentum that Kiffin has worked so hard to put together.
I don’t know if the vote will happen on Thursday or not. But my fear is that the gang of 15 is going to demand that LSU Fire Kiffin, or we will be expelled.
If we are, very few of you are acknowledging what that actually means both in the present and the future for LSU athletics.
This is so fricked and the rant is not going to know what hit them in two days.
