We would still have been inept on defense, and he would have had his share of interceptions also, albeit not like we have seen.

The point is that MOST of our teams issues reside on the defensive side of the ball. Our D is really bad.

Beating Ole Miss, UGA, and Bama wouldn't have changed our season much?

Really?

Disagree completely.

RP would have kept the ball in our possession longer changing the game altogether.

you're a fricking idiot if you think this .. RP would have this team at 9-1 right now easily .. without that "horrible human being" LSU would have never sniffed the national championship .. he beat tennessee for frick's sake .. how stupid are you ?

are you kidding me? the team loved ryan. he was a nice guy and most got along with him. with ryan, we would have beat bama and georgia for sure. and most likely ole miss.

You have no clue. The defense may not be great but if we could churn out some offense, the defense would't be on the field so often. Also, the INT's are killing us. We would have won every game but Florida with RP.

While its fun to think that the Tigers would be 9-1 with RP, I seriously doubt even John Elway would have been able to do anthing about the defense not being able to stop any decent teams.

Not easily, but I think it is realistic to think we could beaten all the teams on our schedule besides Florida with RP at the helm.

A competent QB could have buoyed the defense.

Our DEF makes enough stops to succeed in the SEC if we had a QB who could actually produce points and not 3 and outs/INTs.

While I agree that our defense is putrid, I think RP would have at least gotten us wins in the Alabama and Ole Miss games.

A bad defense can be the result of an offense who does not produce.

Our secondary struggles which trickles down to the whole defense, but if the defense was not forced into the situations they were put into they would not have been as bad.

I agree. RP is not doing a great job at Jacksonville State and that's after he got religion. He would have made the difference in one or two games. The defense is not good.

RP presence on offense would have dramatically changed the season. If the O is scoring points and playing well on offense it can hide alot on D. especially if LSU is not always coming from behind or digging out of a hole. With that being said I want an overhaul on D.

i liken RP to rohan davey .. those teams played for davey on both sides of the ball and not for booty .. same thing here .. LSU's still in the BCS chat today with RP ..

Not true, team unity council urged Miles to boot him off the team, tired of double standard. He gave us absolutely no reason to believe that he could be relied on throughout this season. If you want to bash Miles on a decision made last year, it's his keeping RP on the team to get the NC regardless of future consequences w/ qb situation.

I think this hypothetical is about RP being clean and not a trouble maker. ie, if we had his talent at the helm.

so what is the "team unity council's" take on players not talking to lee on the sidelines .. standing together in clique packs on the sidelines .. and no team unity without RP ?

I understand, that's why these shoulda, coulda, woulda hypotheticals are pointless. It is what it is, pissing and moaning about what was doesn't help what needs to be done moving forward.
