Doughty, Berry, and Reyzelman are attending the MLB draft combine. What that says about Reyzelman is that he is looking to show his stuff and get drafted. I think that was the plan all along when he transferred here.
Gervase will be more of an age thing. LSU will benefit with the covid senior thing, but that will postpone him by another year of playing in the minors. Gervase decision will be more based off if he is ready to start his pro career or wants to make the most of college before trying out the pro path. Older you are however, the harder it is to move up the minors. My opinion is that he really doesn't have anything else to prove or show. He threw 39 relief innings and had a 1.38 ERA doing it. Will be more about if a team likes him and takes him in the draft or not. Coming back will not help his stock any.

I'm glad Ty Floyd decided not to participate. It's a good sign he's coming back next year.

LSU has the following players participating:
* Jacob Berry
* Justin Crawford
* Robby Snelling
* Tucker Toman
* Cade Doughty
* Jaden Noot
* Mikey Romero
* Gavin Guidry
* Chase Shores
* Michael Kennedy

* Aiden Moffett
* Eric Reyzelman
Paxton Kling's name not being on this lilst is just 1 more reason to be optimistic about him making it to campus.

Grant Fontenot is one of guys I think was injured as well, he was highly rated coming out as well

Dylan Crews pulled his name out three weeks before the draft. We are nearing that point for this draft year.

None of our juco guys on the list either, I guess. All 4 could have huge roles on the pitching staff next year.

Misiorowski surprises me.
He could be a weekend starter if he makes it here.

I went back and checked. Jacob Misiorowski is on the Draft Combine participation list. My Bad!

Well, damn. Siravo is the other big arm coming from juco. Ackenhausen is a crafty lefty, Appleby is good RH arm but not really high velo and he didn't have a good year in juco.

I haven't given up on Thompson, because I think his whole problem is a lack of concentration. He made numerous really good plays, while almost all of his errors where routine ground balls that he booted or ones he fielded cleanly, then threw it away.

I see that Dugas is not on the Draft Combine list. Does that improve the chances of him remaining in college, or is he not attending because of his injury status?

Dugas was likely not invited to the draft combine.

He's focusing on rehab and just getting his body right this summer, but I would be shocked if he didn't return to LSU.

I heard Gervase on Hunt and Hill the other day. He wasn’t closing any doors, but he’s taking a couple weeks off then going to the Cape. Sounded very much like he’s hoping to impress, get drafted, and move on. Again, didn’t shut any doors, but he sounded like a guy who appreciated his time in Baton Rouge, but this was probably it.

According to his family Gervase is gone. It was always the plan to stay here for only one year.

We need Simon at shortstop.

Need Simon healthy and getting as many reps as possible this summer/fall/spring. Then we can see if he will be able to contribute. Don't know how long it will take for him to feel comfortable and confident throwing across the diamond. Also need to get as many at bats as possible since he has been out for such a long time. I imagine he will have plenty of rust to knock off. Hopefully he can get healthy quickly and get out to a summer assignment.

Listening to gervase’s interview the other day, felt like he was gone to me
