These laid off guys salaries can’t be that much. Maybe at most a million with benefits for all of them.

Grossly overpaid pelini and orgeron should just pay these salaries for a few years.

Are you telling me that athletics drains money from academics? Because if you are your name is apt.

The athletic department is nothing but a net positive for the academic side. From a money perspective, not gpa.

Well, we went from the greatest season in college football history under Aranda to the worst LSU defense in decades under Pelini, so I'd say he already has "turned this thing around."

I feel terrible for Emmett David. He’s a great guy and was very good at his job

They could solve a lot of their funding problems on academic side by cutting a lot of useless positions
They have a least a 1000 positions that could be cut and still run efficiently

It's infuriating how many people's lives and livelihoods have been affected by a bullshite shutdown for a virus that 99% of all people recover from. It's a damn shame.

That’s encouraging!! I was curious how long it would take him to get a national championship defense back to that level with a plethora of talent

Look I know you play hardball when you negotiate your contract/pay and you stick to it. It's every man for themselves.

But how is Pelini not being voluntold to take a serious paycut at this point?!

Your statement is incorrect, you nitwit.

LSU actually JUSTIFIES investments in athletics to IMPROVE education. There is a direct correlation in a successful athletics program lifting the academic performance + abilities of an institution. More eyes on the school = more people interested in attending the school & executing academic advances.

Just because you don't see 102,321 people showing up to the Engineering or Accounting Departments doesn't mean that great things aren't happening on campus (& beyond) as a result of what doors athletics has opened up.

What facility projects does Athletics have planned? TAF’s website doesn’t show anything.

Exactly what I was thinking, they should be made to pay out of pocket.

The NCAA requires LSU have a "Senior Women's Administrator" on staff. Cutting her would only mean they'd have to hire another
