Robert Munson, LSU's senior associate athletic director of external communications, was among the layoffs, multiple sources said, as was Emmett David, senior associate athletic director of facilities and project development.

Jason Suitt, LSU's assistant athletic director of fan engagement, is among the former employees who announced the elimination of their position on social media.

The LSU athletics department announced a department-wide reduction in compensation. Those who are earning more than $80,000 are subject to a 5% salary decrease in 2021, The Advocate reports. In addition, bonuses will no longer be awarded to coaches or staff for at least one year. Through June 30, 2023, new positions, promotions, and replacements will be approved only in the event of an "essential situation." Head Coach Ed Orgeron and Athletic Director Scott Woodward have agreed to voluntarily reduce their annual salary by 5% in 2021. This is an option for other coaches and staff in the department as well. LSU athletics made several layoffs department-wide.

That article doesn’t say that Munson got laid off. Where did you hear that?

Destroyed people's livelihoods and careers with lockdowns and distancing rules that don't even work. Sad to see.

It's in The Advocate article

quote:

Yeah, I updated OP with the correct article. WBRZ wasn’t reporting that and Advocate was.

Yep. If Bahnsen wasn't one of them, then the AD missed a real opportunity here.

Ugh. We are stuck with Bo. Till 2023? But I would call firing Bo and new replacement essential to the success of the program.

How does the compliance department still have jobs? Seems like everyone is getting laid off or salary reduction except compliance department.
