I made this exact comment on another post the other night and got blasted but it’s true. LSU sold LSU baseball out to the almighty dollar. Horrific fan experience plus terrible player facilities equals why we are a bottom feeding team and will be till MAJOR overhaul of the stadium is done. Everyone else passed is by by the time the concrete dried at new Alex Box.

and this was the best thing that Skip did as Athletic Director. let that sink in.

Season ticket holder here, CPM's first year. With every game on some tv network, it sure is easy to turn the tv off after the game, go to the bathroom, etc. The Old Box was LSU Baseball. The new one, too commercial, more about the dollar than the game itself. I started selling my tickets after the 2017 season. CPM killed the thrill. It's not like the Old Box. The one thing I miss the most is getting to know the players parents.

This isn’t true at all, and I didn’t see it but I fully understand why your comment got bashed with this kind of perspective.

The manufactured homes of Major College Baseball stadiums.

Dare I say Skip's true legacy since Championships have long faded away?

Not a bottom feeding team…..we beat Miss St and Mizzou…….literally the worst two teams in the entire conference and get swept or beat 2-1 in the rest of the series’s. Arky made us look like what we really are. A BOTTOM FEEDING TEAM. Which the term means we can beat bad competition by feeding on them and get embarrassed by great competition. Tell me where and how I’m wrong about that. Our strength of schedule is somewhere in the 40-50’s and we are .500 in the league. Open your eyes JESUS Christ.

Don't know how many TD faithful have attended or been inside the Minor League Memphis park for the Redbirds BUT something akin to this park is what I hoped LSU would build.

People Don't give a shite about the Redbirds but people attend because it has the feel of a bygone Era of baseball with all the modern eminities.

Grass knoll outfield area with low price tickets, first come first serve style pic nic outfield. Family affordable and kids playing ball and running for HR balls.

Yes there are suites, but they sit back and are not so prominent.

Just seems for such a storied baseball school we would have a venue that when young players see it they think damn I want to play there and fans show up because the venue and team are both a draw.

But hell I could be wrong!

We need a new stadium that probably won't happen anytime soon.

I do agree though, LSU's fanbase isn't what it use to be and that extends to football too. I don't think it's all LSU's base is the problem, it's how LSU presents it now. Some above said they sold out to the dollar and I do agree with this. It's a totally different experience especially in baseball now. It's not like the sport generates shite tons of revenue why ruin the experience?

It doesn’t “suck” yes there are better parks in the league but it is better than 95% of the parks in the country including several minor league parks. Get out some your fricking assholes.
The reason it is dead is because of ESPNU fricking morons. The Southeast conference frick themselves.

Amazing. If you look it up on the computer you are told it is one of the best stadiums in the country for baseball and the fans. So what is it??

Lastnight the game was either tied or 1 run lead and fans left. Unfortunately, this will never change and RIP atmosphere and not the Stadium.

I agree with bleacher seating and I gave my season tickets up because I am tired of sitting in that metal bullchit.

The best it will ever be is regional or supers moving forward. I honestly believe any improvement to Stadium will not change the attendance or duration the fans stay.

The amount of unused Gold, Purple, green seats blows me away and is crap.

Rant over but it does suck

I say the angle of the seats not under the grandstand needs to be steeper or something. I've been to Houston and Seattle and sat in a similar area and felt closer to the field. I sit a couple rows up from where the catcher is on the opposing bullpen. If I ever had the chance I'd snap up the Stadium Club seats. My grandma's friend had that and would give us those tickets pretty often while growing uo and I loved it.

It’s very stale. Looking around the SEC reminds you of what LSU baseball at the Box used to be like

Dudy Noble, Founders Park, and Baum Stadium, all three sh!t on Alex Box Redux in terms of the minutiae and cosmetic details. Irrefutable fact.
