Assuming the baby was born healthy Wednesday or Thursday its kinda soft to miss the game unless Lane is saying you have to practice 3/4 days or something.
Take a day or two from practice see the birth of your baby and spend the day up there and then back to business.
When you are highly paid there are different expectations, those go up when you are highly paid for 12-16 days a year.
Anderson would be great to have to stop up the middle vs Brown.
I would also doubt Lane treats every single missed practice the same, missing due to injury vs a family thing is slightly different.
Maybe he was a bit nicked up as well and that would change it to make sense to be out.

That’s what I was thinking too. No way you miss a game like this when the kid was born on Tuesday or Wednesday.
