In light of Kade's dominant performance tonight, wanted to revisit Nola's career. In 2013, Aaron threw 5 CGs of which four were consecutive starts and three were shutouts.

Side note: Alex Lange threw 125 pitches vs State on 5/18/17.

Bruh, outstanding performance. He’s gonna be alright. He was rested and wanted to finish it. He made some money tonight.

I remember reaching the point that I expected at least eight innings from Nola. That guy was amazing.

Career wise (not single season because of you know who) I still think he’s the best pitcher LSU ever had. His last two years you really expected to win every Friday game and all you needed was 2 runs at the most. Still crazy we didn’t make Omaha in ‘12 with a weekend rotation of Gausman, Eades, & Nola.

He is the best pitcher we’ve ever had. I’m guessing they are just waiting until he retires from the MLB to retire his number at the box.

I was at the. Box when Aaron pitched against Oklahoma whose ace was a great pitcher and Aaron threw a masterpiece and shut down Oklahoma. I don’t remember the exact score but I think we scored only 1 or 2 and don’t remember if it was a shutout . Maybe someone can help with the specifics. I know Oklahoma was good but don’t remember how good. I guess you boys can see i have a memory problem

Not a knock on Nola but the bats were dead and rhe balls were the older ones.

Final score was 2-0. Jacoby Jones got on in the 8th with a triple and Tyler Moore hit a double to bring him home and break the scoreless tie and send Gray to the showers after 118 pitches.

The Tigers tacked on an insurance run off of the OU reliever when Jared Foster was driven in on a single to right by Mark Laird who went 3-4 on the night.

Aaron came in and slammed shut the door in the 9th. Nola threw 102 pitches with 77 for strikes.

Doesn't matter what bats and balls were used, Nola still would have put up similar numbers. He's just a helluva pitcher

How the hell can some of you live in a fantasy land? Ball didn’t travel as far when squared ie wouldn’t have left the park which changes everything. If the barrels of the bats were larger and the drops like in the 90’s, you don’t think that gives the hitters a big advantage? Look no further than bat changes in the MLB.
Ball changes in college
Bat changes in college now.

Competition is greater today than even back when Nola pitched because of the MLB draft changing and all of the other rules in the NCAA like NIL.

he is an excellent pitcher. Doing what he did over 2 seasons with the CGs and shut outs would likely not been the same with the equipment today or that of the 90’s.
