Legitimately surprised that you didn't say Bregman, Bregman, Bregman, Bregman

As for this subject, anybody that doesn't have Skip listed needs to be drug out to the street and shot.

Pete Maravich, Shaq, Skip Bertman and hopefully Les Miles when he's done. We need another championship though.

This. The only other answer would be nick instead of Les. These are the four undeniable people who put us on the map.

Nope

Traitors and backstabbers need not apply.

Our LSU Mount Rushmore candidates would be:

Doc Fenton

Bernie Moore

Van Buren

Tittle

Jimmy Taylor

McClendon

Cannon

Stovall

Pettit

Casanova

Maravich (Pistol, not Press)

Dale Brown

Pat Henry

Shaq

Bertman

Ben McDonald

Todd Walker

Kevin Faulk

Alan Faneca

Josh Reed

Les Miles

Glenn Dorsey

Patrick Peterson

There are lots of baseball, football and basketball players on the cusp. I can't think of a single T&F or minor sport star that stands out for including in this rarefied company.

Billy Cannon, Skip Bertman, Pete Maravich for now. Les Miles when he retires. The first three are icons in their respective fields.

There are really only 2 broadcasters I can think of - Politz and Hawthorne - like them or not, they are justifiably legends.

We are going to need a bigger mountain. So, pick 4 or 5 off of your list.

I feel like Kevin Faulk never gets put into the upper echelon, and he should.

He finished as the all time leader in the SEC for total yards, 5th nationally, and the leader in rushing yards surpassing the great Herschel Walker.

He was just as great off the field and has 3 super bowl rings. He's been a class act his entire career.

He was the first in a chain of events that led to LSU football being what it is today.
He could have very easily gone to Miami or Florida State or where ever he wanted to as the #1 recruit in the country, but he stayed home, and he's back home now.

He's a great tiger and i think should have his number up there with Casanova and Cannon in Tiger Stadium.

I'm putting Skip/Shaq/Faulk/Les

Miles - best resume of football coaches even if he retires today based on wins (2nd), national championships (1st - tied), wins per season (1st)
Skip - all time top 2 college baseball coach
Maravich - 3667 points in 3 seasons of varsity - will never be broken.
Cannon - Heisman

I can see the others, but how do you justify Cholly Mac with no NC - while we have others with NCs?
